Go the distance on your next training run in the Under Armour® HOVR™ Sonic. HOVR™ cushioning technology uses proprietary foam to deliver lightweight responsiveness even when you’re putting yourself to the test mile after mile. Inside the midsole, Energy Web foam keeps the softer HOVR foam from losing it’s shape and compression so you have a stable and responsive ride every step of the way. A unique tongue construction keeps the fit perfect during those long runs, while high-abrasion rubber absorbs impact at key areas to keep you moving forward.

  • HOVR™ cushioning system uses a proprietary foam to create superior cushioning
  • HOVR™ cushion creates stability without weighing you down
  • Compression Energy Web mesh in the midsole creates responsive energy return
  • Sock-like upper creates a secure and comfortable fit and easy entry
  • Removable, anti-microbial Ortholite® sockliner creates a custom experience

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tested the OBC foam core I decided to get these instead of the other model which looks like it has more foam. I have to compare this shoe to my Bandit 3 shoe. I fit all of my jogging shoes with replacement foam insoles and it seems very close to the Bandit 3 which has the soft compound Charge. Both have soft strobel boards and good forefoot feel. The HOVR foam seemed firm feeling it with my finger but the out sole also is very soft like Cushlon. The upper, however, is another story. It allowed me to use my thicker insole and still had room. I like toe room and it flexes with my feet. Both shoes are neutral runners which I recommend anyone to try instead of knocking the brand

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loves these shoes! I bought the Phantom and Sonic editions of Hovr and love them both. I use the Phantom for my long and easy runs and I use the sonic for my speed workouts (intervals and tempo runs). Over 100kms in both shoes and I am a fan. For the Sonic, they are lightweight, grip well in rain and adverse weather (I live in Newfoundland and Labrador) and are comfortable. I am 6'5, 220 pounds so I am continuously looking for a shoe that has comfort but is also lightweight - this is my shoe. Going to be using it in late May for a marathon and for all the 5km, 10km, half, and full marathons for this race season. I am not an elite athlete or pro by any means but I am working towards breaking some running goals this year and these are my shoes to do it. Yes, I am a fan of Under Armour but when it comes to running, I have tried many different shoes and I have settled on UA Hovr as they give me everything I am looking for. Note: I bought both sets of shoes myself and UA has not in any way contacted me to review these shoes (or ever contacted me at all! haha) If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Happy running!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! I have rather large feet. (Size 17) It's difficult to find stylish, functional, and comfortable sports footwear. I wanted a pair of Under Armour shoes for some time. Finally, you're making models large enough to accommodate me comfortably. I'm glad the Hovr Sonics came along. They're light, roomy, and yet supportive. They're my new "go to" workout shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly Excellent Shoe I have usually worn New Balance shoes to run in till I was tempted by a UA voucher from MapMyRun to try these. I must say I am genuinely impressed. They do feel like no other shoe I've had, great cushioning and a solid kind of bouncy feeling. Very comfortable on long runs as claimed (13 miles + for me) with great support and really nice ventilation. I have wide feet and I could use a little more room in the toe area but with careful sock selection this hasn't been a major problem. I was so pleased with them I bought another pair half a size up with the connected feature to track treadmill runs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HOVR Sonic is a great shoe. I bought the red ones when they came out and out lots of miles on them and they held up well with normal tread wear. They still have some life left but picked up another pair of the gray and black ones. Now I use the older red ones outside and the gray and black at the gym. Says something about a shoe when you are a repeat customer. Great comfort, cool style, breathable, high performance show all around. I'll be picking up another pair around spring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from HOVR Sonic Shoes I absolutely love the look of these shoes. I got the red ones and they are perfect for me. The sizing was right in line with all other UA shoes I have. The HOVR technology is great, definitely not just a gimmick. I do have one complaint about these shoes however. I tend to wear no-show socks and with these shoes my heels rub against the shoes a lot. I know that kind of happens with most running shoes, but these are really bad. I'm not exactly sure why it happens, but it is a slight inconvenience having to specifically choose longer socks to wear with this one pair of shoes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from I didn't think any color could look better than the white/gold, but the black on white is nice! I am very excited about this new shoe. I think the new material is game changing as far as comfort, and cushion goes. I have a very extensive running background, so I am very picky about shoes. The HOVR Sonic is a shoe I would definitely wear. If you search my name and hovr on YouTube, you can find my detailed reviews. Watch the video for a full review. The upper on the shoe is very breathable. Anyone who is running in this would not have a problem with the shoe getting too hot. The shoe is the perfect blend of support and ventilation. The material is not stretchy, so it hugs your foot very well. I am very pleased with the material selection and performance. The best part is the design of the upper on the Sonic. The upper lays on top of the sole, and it makes it perfect. The Sole is very comfortable, and feels as if you are walking on a pillow. The rubber on the bottom is a great improvement as well. The shoe has great road and concrete traction. The foam has a nice look, and a great feel. The first time I wore the all-white shoe I had so many questions, and compliments from people on the looks. Probably me new favorite shoe to wear. Overall I am impressed with the shoe, and give it a 5 star rating. This is a game changer, and is moving Under Armour to an all new category in the running shoe market. The look is perfect, and they feel is beyond great. I highly recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent running or casual shoe Very comfortable when you first put them on and extremely comfortable once you break them in. Ran quite a few miles in them. I’ve tried working out in them also and they are not a good training shoe since the shoe is a mesh material, you will roll an ankle.
