If It's Not Broken, Why Fix It?

I loved these slides, historically speaking. I have worn them for year and love the foam cushioning. But with this design "upgrade" I find my feet slipping out easier and the velcro strap doesn't stay attached. They're bulky and awkward to wear, a major downgrade for a cult classic.
