I've purchased and repurchased this hat in multiple sizes since it was released. I've given the hat as a gift to multiple members of my extended family. It's the best hat that I've ever had to travel. It packs flat, squishes into a pocket, breathes well, gets rinsed out in a sink, and pops back into its original shape like nothing ever happened. From a shape perspective, what you see is what you get, and that makes it both the perfect hat for some and an awful hat for others. If that original shape works for you, this is probably an incredible hat. However, for some in my family, the hat sat too high on their head, and because the hat is so incredible at maintaining the shape it wants to be, it will not conform to any shape. That means it won't sit a bit lower, look a bit flatter (but fine), or any other adaptation to a different head shape in a more natural looking way--it will look exactly as it does, but very high up on the head, since it will not in any way deform to fit a different crown height. That may mean that some people's heads may not be a great fit for the hat, despite it being adjustable in diameter, since there's no way to adjust, alter, or even just disguise the hat height. We also found that the hole placement may not be ideal for some pony tail heights, if attempting to pull hair through the adjustment hole in the back. The hat is also very lightweight, which some enjoy, but others do not. The brim is both more structured and less structured than almost any other hat. It feels less structured since it's very floppy (if you hold it and fan the hat, the brim will fold back and forth), because it has a different and less rigid internal material to the cardboard that many hats have. At the same time, in some ways it's more structured, since it always springs back to the same shape. Overall, this makes the brim less adjustable and less rigid, but more easily washable/air drying.
