Ok For Beginners
This is a very basic set of darts, slightly below average in quality. The barrels themselves look ok and appear to have a nice knurled pattern to provide good grip, but the reality is that while they are knurled, the pattern isn't all that coarse and combined with the polished finish, make a slippery barrel that is hard to throw with any decent amount of accuracy. But given enough time, anyone can adjust their throwing style to compensate for it. The flights are adequate enough, a little better than you would expect from an entry level set like this. Rigid enough for good flight stability, but not rigid enough to drive the price up. The shafts are probably the highest quality pieces of the whole kit. Included are two sets of their Gripper 3 nylon shafts with flight lock rings, which are pretty high up in their mid-grade range, and one set of their red plastic low grade shafts that are meant only to be used in case you're in the middle of a game and one of the main shafts breaks. After use, the idea is to replace the broken one(s), and return the red one(s) to their original backup status. The flight protectors are standard issue for Unicorn, nothing special, but they do the job. Better aluminum sets that grasp all four sides instead of just two can be purchased for around $2 - $3. The last item is the case. It's the standard compact case that Unicorn has been using since about 2002 or 2003. It's more just for storage than for protection simply because of the brittle plastic it's made from. If you drop it, it will shatter. It holds one set of barrel and shaft assemblies, plus one spare set of shafts and two sets of flights (the set being used plus one spare set), and the ring of flight protectors. This set is ok for a beginner, but at $30 it's grossly overpriced. If you look around, you can get this set for around $15 online. Realistically, there's about $16 worth of darts here, if you keep in mind that the darts on their own are only worth about $6 - $8, the extra set of Gripper 3 shafts around $3, the extra set of flights around $2, the case around $4, and the flight protectors and the red shafts are completely worthless. If you start looking around at UK online stores, you can get a nice set of tungsten barrels only for around $15. After you supply your own shafts and flights, you can have yourself a really nice set of high quality tungsten darts for around $20. Just take your time, because you can find a lot better for a lot less.

Don’t Waste Your Money
First time in use one of the metal tips completely sheared off when it hit the wire on the board. The flights won’t stay in and the case broke when trying to close it for the first time. Don’t waste your money

Decent Darts, Everything Else Is Poor Quality.
Save your cash and get some Tungsten darts elsewhere for less money. The Unicorn darts themselves are nice- attractive, well manufactured, thin enough. However, the plastic shafts are garbage and don't stand a chance at holding in the garbage flights. The red replacement shafts are worse and are ugly to boot. The case is total trash and falls apart before you can put anything in it. The flight protectors are fine and do the job but nicer ones can be had for very little money.I would not buy again. The "less force- consistent performance" claim is ridiculous and has no basis in reality. With better shafts, better flights, o-rings to keep the shafts tight (not included) and better flight protectors, these make for pretty decent (although grossly overpriced) darts. They will throw true but there are so many better options out there for far less chedda.

Good Quality Darts Easy To Manage
The darts were longer and lighter than my brother's old ones. Everyone enjoy playing with them. The only glitch was that the flights didn't stay in place half of the time....
