Loose Fastening Pins On The Anchor Flukes

The grappling anchor I received has 4 fastening pins that attach the 4 moveable flukes to the main shaft. One of the fastening pins is very loose (not hammered properly) and it can completely pop out of its hole. when this happens, the fluke will detach from the shaft. Not good at all. Looks like a bad quality build.

Works Great.

Got two of these for our one pontoon boats. They work great.

It'll Do The Job

The parts are not as easily moved as on other similarly priced anchors. I needed one for the next day, so this one will work. If you have time, order a nicer one online for the same price; or even cheaper.

Small And Compact

Good for my kayak in lakes and slower-moving water. Have not tried on a fast stream yet.

Great Size For My Fishing Kayak

I bought this anchor a couple of weeks ago and it is just right for windy lakes and slow moving rivers. I travel light and this is perfect for my needs.

Kayak Anchor

Followed friends suggestions to get this type of anchor for safety

Works Well

does the job and holds my kayak in place when fishing . better than the one that came with my outfit .

Very Effective!

I use this for fishing off my kayak. Compact, lightweight and easy to set up. When set up properly, there is no worry of ever losing it. Does what it's supposed to.

Perfect For My Kayak!

Already used this new one and it anchors my 14' pro angler perfectly even with loose bottom and strong current.

Great For Small Boat

I bought this to use in assisting me to get my Bass Hunter up close to bank or dock when I need to get out. I just throw it up on bank and pull my boat close.

It's An Anchor

It sinks and holds well for my 10' kayak in light wind. Haven't tested it on big water but I'm sure it'll hold the same.

Solid Product

Good solid product, simple yet quality. Can't beat it for the price

Decent Kayak Anchor

Works well for fishing out of a kayak. I wish it would stay closed better.

Good Anchor For The Price

I purchased a Field and Stream Eagle Talon 120 (12', 68lbs) from DicksSports that included a 1.5 folding grapnel anchor. The small grapnel was okay for calm rivers but too light for any level of current or wind. I also have a 15' canoe that we use a 7lb shackle anchor. I purchased this 3lb Marine Anchor (it says 3.5lb on the side) for twelve bucks to replace both of those anchors. It's really as good quality-wise as any of the grapnels and for half the price. It's the best size for the kayak and works well with an anchor trolley, but super gusty winds and currents will still put it to the test in soft bottoms. It's equally a good anchor for the canoe, with the same qualification that super strong currents and winds are going to drag you along. Overall, for twelve bucks you can't go wrong. Next time I'm at DicksSports I'm going to buy a second in case I get it hung up on something. There's nothing wrong whatsoever with this anchor; it has a fair price. It deserves a 5. I recommend this anchor.

Nice Compact Anchor

Great fit on the kayak, nice and compact at 3lbs. 5 tangs work really well vs my last 4 tang one. Also, the locking ring can't fall off as both sides of the main are larger than the ring hole. The ring fell off my old anchor in 30 ft of water, doh!
