I have worn so many different hiking shoes/boots over the years and have struggled to find something that I really like. I love these Talus ATs. My feet are a little bit wide and these are the perfect width for me. They are sturdy and there was no break in period for me. The insoles are basic so I put in my own insoles and they are super comfortable. I have been wearing these shoes for 6 months and probably wear them 5x a week, whether for hiking or to work.

I have had 3 pairs of these shoes ( older models) and was hoping to replace them with this one. BUT, this shoe design does not fit well. The design of the tongue ( w/ unnecessary extra fabric fold) creates a bulky pressure on foot, in addition to other fit / material issues. I've been searching for a replacement to no avail, and I'm overall disappointed. Designers please look at previous designs & material specs. thanks!

I have purchased Vasque shoes for 4 pairs in a row(over 10 years). The model I usually buy is no longer available. So I went with these. I tried them over winter break and I felt a little hotspot on my right heel. I tried to continue to break in before I was going to do a big, planned hike. I tried changing sock (thicker, thinner, everything in between). I wore them on a big hike and got a horrible blister that took over 3 weeks to fully heal. I have no idea how this works..was it the shoe or something else? I do know that I have never, ever had a blister. It happen on my right heal. Not sure if I buy a whole new pair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this in early March to hike in Zion. Whew! Did not break them in except small walks in the Bronx… and they were great. Love Vasque but first time buying a “low” show! Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No blisters. Right out of the box! I was worried about blisters, so wore them around the neighborhood for a week, then put them to an 8-mile, 4,000-footer test. They passed!
