Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crystal clear ! I bought my Vortex a couple months ago and used it for the first time on an Ibex hunt in the Florida Mountains in Southern New Mexico. It was so fun watching the Ibex from 1-2 miles away! Through my Diamondback i could definitely pick out the big rams from the smaller ones. Anyone who has been on this hunt knows you need good glass as it is so difficult even getting to the mountain! I loved my spotter and it was definitely better than my friends spotter which was a different brand but at a comparable price. I think Vortex is very superior to many other brands and very affordable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vastly exceeded my expectations! I bought this to use as a spotting scope for archery, and it works better than any that I have ever used! The view is crisp and clean, and the focus works fantastically. As a test when I got this scope, I decided to point it at the brightest star in the sky, to see if I could focus on something that far out. Turns out, I found Jupiter! You could clearly see the planet with 4 of its moons. Recently, I decided to look for Saturn, since the orbits were more or less aligned and after some searching, I found it! I was pretty skeptical about being able to view something so far out, but you could clearly see that it was Saturn and its rings! I would recommend this scope to anyone as it has so many great uses! I would add photos of my stargazing adventures, but I would have to search my phone for them :p.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Vortex Product I purchased this spotting scope for hunting deer and elk in Utah. In the high country, you can often find yourself glassing great distances. This scope performs great up to about 45x-50x magnification. After that, it starts to get a bit blurry. If you are glassing shorter distances this scope is excellent! Can't beat the price for the quality. However, if having a crystal clear picture at great distances is important I would look into an HD scope.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Scope-Great Sevice This was my first spotting scope purchase. I have used it to help sight in my rifle, show my son how to read trace, glass for deer, and evaluate sniper operations (I am a Special Operations Trainer). The scope held up well to regular wear for hunting purposes. However, the internals broke inside while climbing mountains in a HMMWV. Often climbing over a sea of 12” dessert rocks causing significant bumps and jarring. Vortex sent me an over night shipping label and will return the item over night when it is fixed or replaced. The service representative was super responsive. Thank you Vortex for your awesome service and please tell the service representative for Service Request 12565 she is awesome!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Budget Buy Obviously this scope is not the same quality of glass as the Razor HD or Viper HD, BUT for what it is, the price point, AND the warranty, if a low budget scope is all you can afford, the Diamondback is it. It's well made with quality components, and for lower grade glass, is pretty clear... I've used this to spot out to 1200yds+ and can very easily pick up vapor trails, wind mirage, and points of impact. Again, I know this isn't the best spotting scope out there, but because it does all that it claims to do and some with a Bullet proof warranty, I give it 5 Stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Optic! Prior to last year I relied heavily on my Vortex binos to get the job done while glassing the valleys and fields while perusing whitetail and mule deer in South Dakota. I finally bit the bullet and added a spotter to my collection, and honestly wish I'd have done so at least a decade ago. No matter the weather, my Diamondback spotter never let me down. Heavy rains, snow, just straight up nasty conditions, and it performed flawlessly. Not only did I learn about how awesome they are for hunting out west, I also learned to use them on my scouting trips back home in Minnesota and while on hunts in Wisconsin. No matter where you are, you can find a use for one, and once you get your hands on the Diamondback 20-60x80, you'll be hooked!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable, reliable, unbeatable My first time using this or any spotting scope was this elk season. I have always just used binoculars, but sitting and watching a large open canyon with multiple draws was a perfect opportunity to try my new Diamondback 20-60x80 angled spotter, with a Vortex summit tripod. I was dialed in and ready to put an elk down! Easy adjustments, handsome looks, and that warranty!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality and durability I have had this scope for over a year and a half, and every time I use it amazes me. The optics are very clear and with the 80 mm objective lens, the picture is bright. The zoom does darken the image but that is expected with almost any spotting scope. Great quality for the price and a lifetime warranty! You can never go wrong with buying anything made by Vortex.
