Cheap Price=cheap Product?

Bought these pads for my 15 yr old son. Looked good, affordable (comparatively) price. Used in practice that evening and broke. Had to return the next day. Different store due to original store didn't have proper size. Paid 30 dollars more for different brand that is so far holding up.

My son is a freshman, and he likes the pads. he is 6 ft and skinny. We got large to cover more of chest.

Solid And Great Shoulder Pads

I wanted to get the Burn Hitlyte shoulder pads, because I like the lighter and more minimalist setup, but there were none at the store so I just got these. They were nice, really protective and actually breathable in some areas, where theres a thick perforated foam called VPS (Ventilated Protection System?) The shoulder caps are unusual and awkward at first but you get used to it, you can also adjust how far up or down the shoulder pads are. The two way side straps are super useful for more adjusting ability. Only thing I didn't really like was the upper arm pads, needed more adjustability. These are probably better for defensemen, and I still would rather have gotten the Hitlytes, only because I like a lighter setup, but I don't mind these at all.
