I bought this glove about three months ago and I have been impressed by the leather quality. It comes with a stiff feel and holds it particularly well in the palm which makes it very resistant to palm bubbles. The break-in was fairly easy and it was easy to mold after using the hot water treatment. The laces bled a little bit as a result of using the hot water treatment, but not enough that it was noticeable which makes it ideal for this break-in. The glove features a very wide palm which makes it ideal for two in the pinky, but I choose to wear it traditional and it performed well. However, when wearing the glove traditional the pocket is very shallow, but it may deepen with more usage. Other problems with the glove are its poor quality of laces. The pinky and thumb loops are better quality than a Rawlings, but the lace is not even comparable to that of other companies. The lace is very thin and stretches easily in the pocket. I will likely have to replace at some point, and I anticipate it will break after about 2 years. I am disappointed to report that Dick's sent it in a way to small box so the glove arrived partially flattened. That is definitely something they need to change in the future. I was worried going from a size 12 to 11.5 would be a problem, but the glove has a was comfortable and fields ground balls well. The pocket features great padding, but the heel is thin. The glove also comes with very rolled fingers, and wide finger stalls that at first feel tight and uncomfortable, but feel better with time. The web is high quality and feels even better once you break it in. I think 1786 is definitely the best Infield a2000 pattern, and at $200 this glove is the best on the market. At a similar price point I would consider buying a 44, but because they tend to be inconsistent in quality I went with this glove. This glove is a definet buy at anywhere from 200-230, but I wouldn't buy it much higher than that because at that price point you can get the a2k version of this for the same amount, or a Rawlings Heart of the Hide. Overall this was a well designed glove that I would buy again.
