Got my son this glove due to the fact I got an A2000 over 20 years ago. These gloves will last forever as long as you oil them and take care of it. Great craftsmanship and one of the best series of gloves Wilson has ever made.

Steaming is a terrible and lazy way to break in an expensive glove. Wilson specifically states on the tag do not steam as it will void all warantee. The dude down below ruined his kids new and expensive glove due to laziness. Do your homework.

Perfect For 13u Through Highschool
Not many gloves come with the hand closure in the tightest position. Perfect for younger players 12/13, up through Highschool, that want a high end, middle infield glove. Great for players that have smaller hands, or wear their glove slightly off the palm. Used normal break in product to condition pocket and laces twice. Game ready for him (12) after 2-3 weeks of practices and game warmups. Although game ready, or ready ish, it is very firm still, and has not seen a full game of use yet. Do not expect this glove to break in and be game ready immediately. Especially with small hands doing the squeezing. I can promise you hard hit balls will spin out of the pocket if not broken in, so as a coach, I’d advise not letting a new glove like this touch a game field for a while. You’ll know in practice. Let the kids do the work so it does not form to an adult hand. I did not hammer any part of the pocket. Just catch, condition, wrap. Great looking glove, and my son absolutely loves it, thick beautiful leather that will last a long time. Perfect early 13th bday gift.

Got this glove for my son for his birthday, they steamed it for about 15 min but I don't think the stream was working right, it was barely steaming. We're still breaking it in, can't use in games yet still to stiff, I've treated it like I did all my gloves through my life but this glove is crazy stiff.

Great Glove
I wish I bought this glove years ago. I purchased this for my 14 daughter who plays 2nd base and a tourney player. The break in time on this glove is the best of any A2000 we've had. I've purchased the SB12 A2000 and the 1787 in the past. This glove has the thinner padding which does help with break in and the shallow pocket is great for 2nd base. She loves this glove.
