I didn’t get an incentive for this review so it’s completely honest! Purchased this back in 2022, it’s been the hardest to break in mitt we have ever come across. It seems to be made of good, sturdy leather but here we are in April of 2024 and the mitt refuses to develop or maintain a pocket. We have beat it with a mallet, put so much glove conditioner on it it’s softer than my legs, caught so many balls out of the pitching machine I’ve developed arthritis in my thumb doing it, always stores it with a ball in it, and despite all this my daughter has caught countless games with it. Still, absolutely no pocket! She wore out a Mizuno Franchise glove while we were trying to break this one in. She’s primary catcher for her school team, travel softball team, and a boys baseball team she plays on so I don’t think it’s her! I’d say go with a better mitt, this one was a complete waste of time and money for us.
