Highly Maneuverable And Solid

Simply put, this paddle is an outstanding offering from Wilson. It's a elongated, poly-core sleeper that's still relevant in the current marketplace and surely hasn't received the attention it deserves. I still find it to be one of the finest paddles available, bar none. Look around and you'll see that this shape in an elongated is here to stay. I also find the weight perfect; it's highly, highly maneuverable at the kitchen and super flickable when chasing down lobs. My dinks and slow-play are very consistent with this paddle. The sweet spot may not be a large as others, but it's won't leave you scratching your head if you do your part. Where it shines for me, however, is on serve, return, and ground stroke. I hit low-clearance bangers and rolls with this paddle better than any I've tried. My favorite thing, though, and what makes it so unique has to be the handle. It's gripped bigger than most at 4 1/4 and extremely solid in-hand. I'm never wanting for more power and I've played paddles with more pop, but the overall package the Blaze Tour 16 presents is just too much for me to deny. The only weak aspect for me is the grit. It's just not up there with the best, currently. You can definitely generate spin, but it could use more bite if that's a big part of your game. I would love to see Wilson keep developing the Blaze Tour and offer updated versions in 16mm and 14mm. I really think they have something going with this paddle.

Fantastic paddle! Better than the other well known brands ive played with. Great grip, nice control, and the power is AMAZING!

Blaze Tour 16 Is My Go To Paddle

I couldn't be happier with my Blaze Tour 16 paddle. I'm a 4+ level and play about 10+ hours per week. I've tried a number of different paddle brands and am now a confirmed Wilson Blaze customer. It has a good sweet spot, nice finish for spins and soft game, as well as plenty of power without the need to add any lead tape for weight. The handle is longer for those with a 2-handed backhand, but also works very well for 1-handers like me. I typically put a Wilson wrap on the handle to increase the handle size and to help reduce sweat issues on humid days. The Blaze 13 is also a good paddle if you want a bit more pop, but I prefer the 16 to give me a bit more control on my soft game. If you're looking for a great all-around paddle with great touch, power and durability, then this is the paddle for you. This is definitely my go to paddle.

I Wanted To Love This

Great for control in the kitchen (sinks, resets) but lacks power, especially from the back line. Not great spin. Not for what I was told would be an elite paddle. Disappointed. Played tennis for 15 years, now a 4.5 PB player. I really thought I’d love this paddle but I just don’t. My gen 3 Perseus was amazing! But can’t play with it anymore :( in search of what’s next.

Amazing Grip

It takes a bit to get used to since the head is smaller. the grip is absolutely incredible. I feel much more control on this pádel over other brands. I highly recommend it

Selkirk Convert

I did a personal experiment between Wilson and Selkirk, and Wilson won! I am a 4-4.5 pickleball player in my 60s and play 2-3 hours of pickleball 3-5 days per week. I'm a former tennis player and generate enough power that I like to have the 16mm width for more control of my soft game. I have been a Selkirk fan for the last 4 years, but wanted to try something new since my Selkirk Invikta Vanguard 2.0 kept deteriorating at the top corners of the paddle. So I purchased the Wilson Blaze Tour 16 paddle and put it through the exact same paces as my Selkirk Invikta: I played with both paddles for the same amount of time over 3 months (mid-January to mid-April in the Southwest), on the same courts at the same time of day, with the same group of opponents, and in the same outdoor Sonoran Desert environment. Hands down, the Wilson paddle performed better and structurally lasted longer. See photos. While the Blaze Tour paddle face is smaller than the elongated Selkirk, I found it to have a generous sweet spot, and easy to hit and handle. It has slightly more pop than the Invikta but "soft" enough that I could modify speed, power and spin. All in all, I love it and have made it my go to paddle. Well done Wilson!

Excellent Control

Love the face grit and handle is perfect. Excellent feel of ball on face.

Fantastic Power And Control!

I am a professional player and am blown away by the new Wilson Blaze. Power when you need it, control when the play slows down at the kitchen. Great job, Wilson!

Great Paddle

Very comfortable, spin friendly paddle. Very nice control and feel. My most favorite paddle so far, also feels very solid.

The Perfect Balance Of Power And Control

This is a fantastic paddle for the competitive player. As a D1 college tennis player who played with Wilson racquets and now competitive pickleball player, this brings together the best of power, control and touch to execute a variety of shots. It has a sleek look and the elongated length and cushioned grip make it easy to play with and control without sacrificing power. Of all the paddles I’ve tried, this is by far and away the best in terms of performance, looks and feel. Highly recommend!
