Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terribly Lopsided Football I bought this $45 ball because it is the official ball of NFL Punt Pass and Kick for my daughters age group. I didn't take it out of the box to inspect it before we left the store and the kids played with it for a while and scuffed it up before they asked me to let some air out of it, because it was still rock hard and someone got nailed in the nose.I let a little air out and played catch with my daughter and noticed that it was terribly lopsided and wouldn't hold a tight spiral. I guess I should have kept the receipt so I could return it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Price and quality At almost $49.00, I expected something different after going with Wilson over Nike. The Nike has a rounder shape, the Wilson tdj is flatter. Not holding its air when properly aired. Also, when we tossed around the ball for the 1st time it completely let out a red dye onto my hands and kids that several washes. I shop here and there at dicks because of there inventory prices are always high. But again the football was a disappointment. It's a low 3 not solid. Either Wilson or dicks needs to check that product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best football These are the best footballs and will last forever! Definitely worth the extra $10 to get the real leather, good texture, American made, etc.!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Give it some time Great to have a true leather football vs. the tackified synthetic balls, as those always seem to wear out w/in a month or so of use. However, this leather ball may take at least that long to break in. In comparison to others (so far) it's been very difficult to throw a tight spiral & it's equally tough on the hands when receiving. We're still happy with it but it's worth noting that like a good b-ball glove, you'll need to allow time for this to break in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lost Air I bought this ball for our youth group to toss around in our gymnasium. For the first two months, it was great. The leather breaks in nicely to a tacky feel. However, after two months, the ball quit holding air. You could pump it up to almost full or full and in ten minutes the ball would be completely flat again. If not for the air problem, albeit a big problem, the ball is fantastic.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Try it before you buy it I suggest you try it in a store before purchasing. At almost $50, you'd think this is a great ball. Price isn't everything. Many composites have a better feel and throw better for half the price. If you go with a leather ball, I'd go with a different brand. I returned my leather TDJ and preferred a composite ball after comparing in a store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great football This is my sons first year playing football and this has been a great ball to practice with in the yard in preparation for the season. Great quality and handling. Would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality Great feel and official size for my 11 year old. Don't waste your money buying the artificial. This ball will outlast the knockoffs and they should practice with what they play with.
