Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Boot, just NOT for Railroading! This boot is exceptional if you worked in a place with hard concrete floors as it is cushioned just right. It it waterproof, but if your legs get wet, the tops of your socks allow water to get inside and make your feet prune..waterproofing works "inside and out". Overall great boot for "basic" foot protection...not for railroading and walking on miles of ballast. Glad I purchased the boot insurance from Dick's as these boots get replaced every 3 months. The soles are like tennis shoes and do not tolerate all the walking over rocks. My Red Wings only lasted 6 months on the railroad and i paid twice the amount for twice the time using them. I would not purchase these for heavy duty work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from COMFORTABLE My husband is a mechanic and is on his feet all day. He has bought many different boots at many different price levels from $45 to $189.00, and he is very pleased with these boots, so much so, he wants to buy another pair in case they are discontinued. In the past he has bought Bates (uniform boots) they were comfortable and lightweight but didn't hold up well (luckily Dicks had the warranty then). He says these are lightweight and very comfortable. I say they look great and makes his feet look small. Not sure how long they will last but for now they are great (he averages about 6 months out of his boots).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Boot Quality work boots are extremely important to me - I use them for everything.... I buy a new pair of boots about once a year, and the last three years I've bought these boots...They're amazing.... I'd classify them as light-duty, but don't get me wrong they're extremely durable....I say light duty because they don't have a steel toe.... They're extremely comfortable, look good, and most impressive is they're really light....You can wear them all day every day and feel like you're wearing sneakers....The soles have great grip, and you can "feel" things you're stepping just enough to make them great for rock climbing/climbing in an attic/climbing on machinery.....(all of which I've used them for) They are truly waterproof.... Excellent boots...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have bought this boot over and over. This is the best boot I have found in 20 yrs of working outside. I work at a airport for a airline and I am out in ever kind of weather there is all day long. I have bought this boot model 4 times in 6 yrs and love it keeps my feet dry and are very confertable. Wish I would have discovered them 20 yrs ago instead of wasting my money on cheap work boots. they are worth every penny.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Crazy comfortable but soles separate from leather I'm on my 7th and final pair of this boot. They are very easy to wear for long hours because of comfort, but unfortunately they don't make it through a year. I work in a greenhouse and the waterproofing only lasted about a month this time and again the leather and sole started separating at 10 months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Boot for the Working man I have purchased 2 pair of this boot in the last 1 1/2 years. I work in concrete construction and a boot only last me 6months to a year. this boot takes a beating and holds up to what I deal it. The one problem i have with them is the soles get smooth before the boot wears out. The sole is great when it is there. They are a comfortable boot for everyday use. Will likely buy a third pair. Wished they had a little more insulation on these cold winter days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots all around I've been in need of some boots for a while and have been extremely happy with these. I used them to shovel snow and my feet never got wet. I've walked through mud and puddles all over with no problems. They are also very easy to clean. Avoid getting anything sticky or it will leave a mark (had a pair that had a sticker on them from the store and the store replaced them). They are now one of my most comfortable pair of shoes I own and have walked in them for hours with no feet or back pain, no insoles needed!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great roofer boots I have been wearing the Wolverine Durban work boot for about 5 years now. They are comfortable out of the box. I normally wear a size 12 shoe but the 13 medium fits perfectly. I am a roofer and I get at least 6 months out of a pair. Sometimes more. That is good performance for a roofing boot. I’m basically working all day on a surface that equals 30-grit sandpaper. I replace them when the soles are smooth. They have never ripped or fallen apart. The sole is softer than other Wolverine boots so it gives good grip on the roof.
