Rated 5 out of 5 by from NEAR PERFECT I bought this rod today for steelhead/salmon fishing. I didnt catch any fish, but i can say i love the way the rod looks and performs. I used it for float fishing and i love the "noodle" end of the rod how flimsy it is so it is easy to detect a bite and the fish wont be spooked when they bite something on a stiff rod. I prefer the 10'6" rod.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value, Big improvment from last year! Everything about this new series is a big improvement from the previous years models. The all crock grip and extra smooth eyes help make this rod easy to use. The improved aesthetics and materials used is more traditional and the reel holster sits much more comfortably than other rods in the same price range. This is a great value and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good drift rod on a limited budget.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wright McGill WMLD90S2 9 foot 2-8 line wt fishing rod. Purchased along with the WMFD90S2 6-10 wt rod. Rods came packaged separately. Very happy with with the LD model rod, it arrived on time and was well packaged. The rod looks good and was very happy with exterior finish. Exactly what I wanted and was looking for. Have not used the rod yet, was purchased for an upcoming fishing trip next month.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 10'6 drift float I landed 2 winters back to back on my second outing with this rod. Good sensitivity and alot of power for hook setting n landing of my 2 steelies. Overall very happy with the rod would of given it excellent if the rod was a tad lighter, but cant complain, for the price, a really good rod for bobber n jig.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from W & M flyrod I haven't gotten the opportunity to use my new rod as its hard to cast in January in upstate New York. But I will say that I was very impressed with the quality and workmanship of this rod. I have owned W & M rods over the past 35 years and this rod appears to be the best by far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good rod Good solid rod for freshwater fishing, caught & landed a 24# pure striper on it. Stiff enough rod with sensitivity to detect bites from whitebass & strong enough to set hook on bigger fish without worrying if itll break.
