Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Kayak Anchor Must have for fishing. The 3lb is just right size, use 20' line, attach small stainless safety hook at line end and clip to Kayak (in case you tip when not using or line loosens from cleat while fishing) but use cleat on Kayak when anchored.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected I bought this anchor not expecting too much from it and on first glance I wasn't particularly impressed: the flanges don't always fold up neatly so sometimes the locking mechanism was hard to engage. However, the anchor performed far better than I expected. My boyfriend and I each had one attached to our kayaks (14' plastic recs) in the Charles River on a very windy night. Not only did they hold us with no discernible drift for more than three hours, they also held a couple of other kayakers who tied up to our boats. They both came out cleanly when we were ready to leave. For an inexpensive anchor, it far outperformed my expectations. I highly recommend this.
