Perfect Size For A 10' Kayak

Purchased this for my model 100 Sit On Pelican Kayak, this combined with a Scotty fishing pole holder turns a normal Kayak into a fishing Kayak. Tried other brands of rod holders, but they were not long enough to hold my 6'6'' pole. This model works well and securely holds the fishing rod. Handy Pad Eye On Rod Holder

I am glad I bought the YakAttack rod holders when I bought my Evoke Coast 120. The kayak comes with (2) mounted pad eyes for the factory seat. With (2) additional pad eyes on the rod holders, I can attach a detachable seat if I want to. I got the 18" RAM mount boom for my GoPro to fit into the rod holder. I can also attach a beach umbrella to the boom with the RAM mount hardware over the stern hatch.

Sweet!

These pole holders are easy to install, look awesome and work perfect! I used a slightly smaller hole saw and used a file to fit the angle of the holder. Very easy to install. I did buy stainless washers and used the bolts provided to mount them instead of the divots. I also used waterproof sealant under the flange of the holder. They look factory and are an awesome addition to my kayaks!

Nice Rod Holder Package

This rod holder package has all the parts needed to install it (except the saw). It requires a smaller hole to be drilled than some of the other ones out there on the market, and the rod holder clip is also a nice touch.

The Real Answer

Installs in a few minutes. Waterproof silicone is a good idea. Actually a good idea whenever you drill into your yak for anything. ONE THING. All rods are not created equal. Different handles, lengths of handles, etc. Any piece of PVC pipe that is 1 5/8 inch diameter on the OUTSIDE will slide right in to this tube. I suggest you do like I did and cut a 1 foot piece and slide it in when you're going to fish. Then anything fits. I have two installed and have no complaints. PVC in both. The cool thing?? Slip it out when your done. Quality is great on this product. Installation is a piece of cake. I just like the added comfort of multiple fit by adding the PVC and keeping the real off of the boat.They might get mad at me saying this because they sell the tubes, but PVC is real cheap. You could make many rod inserts for a fraction of the price.INCH AND FIVE EIGHTHS outside diameter.Happy fishing.... I'm already on the lake!
