Easy To Use

Great product. Worked good on ice. Wore over boots.

Gamechanger!

I wouldn't use them instead of crampons for anything serious, but for winter weather and recent ice storms on the East Coast, Yaktrax were a serious gamechanger! People's decks, yards, and driveways were essentially sheets of ice for over a week. I had to crawl up to my house after being unable to get my vehicle back up the driveway. With Yaktrax, I could safely walk outside without fear of falling. No slippage - even up and down the incline of my driveway.

Perfect When Walking The Dog In Snow

Purchased these right before the big snow we had in the DC area recently, which turned to ice very quickly. They helped tremendously while walking on the packed snow where I would normally be very concerned about falling all of the time. They definitely prevented the slipping and gave confidence to walking, and although you still need to be very careful on ice, they were a great purchase and I highly recommend.

Great For Running!

I bought a pair last month and they have been great for wearing with my running shoes.

Not Durable

The first time used the Traction Device the bands broke.

They Work!

The icy surfaces were making dog walking nearly impossible. YakTrax are great! I no longer have to worry about falling when it is slick out. I just wish they could be used on hard surfaces as well, as some people clear their walks while others don't.

Work Perfectly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great on ice and concrete. They stay on even in mud!

Worthless Product

These were no better than my walking shoes for snow and if you hit ice you are flying! Will not be wearing these again.

Perfect Traction Item For Packed/slippery Snow

I bought these to replace an old pair that was 10 years old, and these are excellent. I have used them to walk on local trails and sidewalks in slippery wintery conditions - 4 plus miles at a time. One thing you should consider with these is the great feature that has the strap over the top that keeps them well in place - the basic Yaktrax don't have that. I wear with hiking shoes/boots and did size one up to cover the type of shoe sole.

Works

Works but it is on the smaller side. Very hard to put on.

Work Well, But …

They work well on the ice and snow, but if you end up walking on the pavement for an extended period of time or distance, the metal parts won’t last long.

Great For Dog Walking

These are a must for those iced over sidewalks when your dog insists on going for a walk.

Hard To Get On But Works Good

Good stuff if you need it. It is complicated to get on but not terrible.

Not Good Traction For Hiking

Good if you're just walking on a frozen lake, but nearly fell off a mountain when walking on an icy trail.
