Yeti French Press Review

Two things not great- the presser is really challenging to pull out. The rubber disk (with the mesh) is very tightly sealed within the canister. Secondly I really with the spout was more closed offf so as not to allow steam to come out and thus keep it hot longer. Thank you. Otherwise a lovely product, sturdy and good looking!

Yeti Missed The Mark

I’ve had this for three months and was relatively satisfied with it. My biggest issues is the suction of the plunger was almost too powerful. It’s very difficult to remove the lid and plunger to clean. For anyone who is older or has a weaker grip, this IS NOT the product for you. I actually damaged the inside as I took it apart to clean and screen got wedged at the bottom. I had to use a knife in an attempt to remove it and scraped the inside. Secondly, after a few months of use I’m noticing it’s leaking. I’m generally quite happy with all my Yeti drinkware but they really missed the mark on this one. I will still use it but I would not purchase again.

Stuck Plunger

Very decent quality, solid build. The enamel is chipping of on the i side, I freely admit that's my fault.Using metal utensils on any press is bad news as my glass press blew up(my fault again). The issue with the plunger is plain old physics. The grounds cool creating a slight vacuum because the seal is so efficient. Two ways to fix this Dump any residual coffee out, while press is on its side gently pull plunger. This should break the seal. If that doesn't work fill the press through the pour hole with hot tap water. This time while carefully dumping the water, pull the plunger out. It should come out easy peasy. .

Coffee Stays Hot, But It Leaks When Pouring

I have a few Yeti tumblers and the quality is excellent, so I bought this French press. It does keep the coffee hot, though it would be nice if the pour spout had a cover. The reason I gave it two stars is that no matter what I do, it pours coffee on the floor when I fill my cup. There’s no seal between the lid and the body.

Waste Of Money.

I love Yeti but this was a horrible design. Suction is so hard sometimes I can't even press down the plunger. It's takes me standing on top of the handle with 210 lbs to get it to go down. Secondly, you cannot pour it with out it spilling or dripping down the side. I wonder how Yeti did not address this during R&D. The most expensive French Press that does not function properly.

Great Coffee…but Leaks So Bad!

Been using this for approximately 6 months and I love the size and it makes great coffee. It is hard to find a coffee press of this size. HOWEVER, the fact that you cannot properly pour a coffee or have it on the table at breakfast because it LEAKS from the lid, is in my opinion, terrible. I have many Yeti products, from tumblers to Tundras and I have been so happy with all of them. I feel like Yeti needs to sort this lid out and do their loyal customers a solid and send them a new lid. This leaking is embarrassing for me and Yeti.

Flaw In The Design

There’s a flaw in the design, the plunger on two of the yeti French press. were pushed all the way to the bottom and you’re unable to retrieve it. Returned it one time and ordered it online at the store and they sent me the same one from the same store. Orders another one same thing. So I end up ordering from Yeti directly, and it came in fine with the plunder attached.

An excellent product. A bit heavy but, Yeti products, in general, are built to to be substantial. I plan to use it for French Press and Cold brew coffee. It makes excellent coffee quickly and easily. We live in AZ and drink cold brew half of the year. I would recommend this product.
