Amazing Design!

Great alternative to the Yeti regular backpack, the Cayo 15L is great to use when wet weather is part of the adventure. Light, roomy and weather-resistant, this compact backpack is a must have when a larger capacity is not needed. Got lot of comments and compliments on trails!

15 Vs 35

I bought 2. A 15L and a 35L. Here is what I think. Both are very high quality. The plastic welds are all strong, no damage in backpack. Received in perfect condition. Let’s compare sizes: the 35 is perfect for your everyday use. Holds a lot. Basically as big or a tiny bit bigger than your high schoolers backpack. It’s not too big. It’s just right. Good for carryon for plane travel. I’m 5’11” and 206#. Looks like a normal size backpack on me. Can use on a day trip on the water or in the woods. I went to a local store and compared all 3 sizes. If you buy one, buy the 35. As for the 15. It’s small. Looks like one of those little backpacks purses women wear. But only a tiny bit larger. I got this for my “travel fishing bag.” I have 2 travel rods I keep in my truck. I use this 15 to hold a bag of worms, a 3600 tackle tray, pliers, fish grips, scissors, and 2 little packs of trout spinners. 3 spools of leader (50yd). There is not much room left after that. For me it s perfect as my small fishing bag. Perfect size. Can even put a little more in it. But again it’s small. Fits behind my seat and tracks locally with me. Throw it on when on my sxs and take my travel rods in their cases and find places to fish on my atv trips. I’m not sure you could food a beach towel and fit it in the 15. For the 35, you could probably roll up and for 3-4 beach towels and maybe a water bottle. No matter what, they’re typical yeti quality. The straps and back portion are comfortable. The material seems to be that same material used on soft coolers. Very strong and durable. Zippers are quality. Note- this is a simple bag. No thrills. A couple pockets inside. I wanted this for ease of reaching all my stuff. I hate bags with lots of pockets which take up my usable space. These bags open up wide and you can reach all your stuff.

Cayo 15 Freedom!

OMG! I wish I had gotten the Cayo15 sooner! Not only is it a great pack for the trail and fly fishing. I use it for a camera bag for my mirrorless Canon camera and lenses! No longer do I panic at the first sign of rain or wet river bank! I know my gear is protected! Thanks Yeti you made my outdoor life a whole lot more carefree and better!!

Rugged, Well-made, But A Pain In The Butt To Use

Love the color, shape, and look of this bag, but the practical use of it is not well-earned. It is a b-word to get things out of, especially if you’re using it for daily use. I have an iPad and some paper pads for writing work. I think the size is plenty for those small items, but getting it out of the main pocket is a daily trial by fire. My hands are scraped up from repeated abrasions with the zippers. I get it’s water resistant and needs to be stiff for that purpose. I love the shape and look, but the practical uses of this backpack for school are limited.

I first purchased the Cayo in the 15L the bag is made very well and it will last many years. I did have to send it back but only to get the 25L because I needed a larger bag. The bag looks high quality and very stylish and I can’t wait to use it.

Was concerned about the 15L size, but was still large enough for a day's gear or carry-on's for a flight. It's not quite big enough for a weekend duffle, but will work well for the overflow. While not rated as waterproof, the seams appear VERY tight and will definitely keep contents dry and protected under some pretty severe conditions.
