Perfect For Morning Oatmeal

I was worried that my Kodiak + 1 scoop of Optimum Nutrition vanilla. It’s does great. The lid is slightly deeper in the cup than I would prefer but it keeps warm. Use everyday when traveling. Buy it.

Difficult To Open

Very difficult to open. There is an internal cap that must line up with the external magnetized cap and you need to push down hard to get them to lock. It's a wide lid and very hard to push and twist. I wasnt able to do it at all.

I am very disappointed in the level of insulation. I expected it to be able to hold the temperature of the food inside, similar to a thermos. It does not do that at all. If you put hot soup inside, the outside surface heats up almost immediately and the heat is radiated away.

I never bought or really used a yeti product outside maybe grabbing a drink out of a cooler. Only recently these food jars gained my attention. First yeti product I buy is the 8oz food jar in wetlands camo. now I have 26 yeti things. The food jars, can still be difficult to open but comparitively it is much much easier than thermos food jar. Over the years I observe the biggest factor in product longevity is the user. This being said for just about anything anyone might be doing per average, any of these products here are the same. I work in a kitchen, its hot and crowded and not a lot of down time. other people can and do knock over your stuff. few things yeti offers over competitors in my experience w other brands. quality of life is higher; easier or faster to fully clean also translates to quick securing and accessing during rushes etc. for example I have a thermos food jar it has too many parts and a smaller opening. another note, hard to quantify since I take care of my things, yeti things are more durable. Over the years I have seen damage to every brand. Again, I like these food jars I got a second 8 oz in Rescue Red for organization and for more. Good to keep some stuff seperate before you get there.
