Great Bag

I both this bag a month ago. I’ve used it for both work trips and ski trips. It performs at a very high level for both. Highly recommend it.

Esthetics &!Functional - Great Bag All Around!

I love the look and materials. I like that it is very open and you can access everything through the large front Zipper or the top. I like the placement of the pockets inside for small items. I like the additional straps to tighten depending on the volume of stuff in the bag, the chest strap and waist strap. I travel a lot and I have all kinds of bags from North Face to Tumi, but thiis is by far my favorite. A bit pricey, but when you depend on your gear to travel, I would say I am pleased! Great job designing so it’s aesthetically pleasing and functional. This is my first Yeti bag, but I am impressed!

Excellent Quality

Quality is high, high! Narrower and stiffer than I thought. But holds up great on rain. I don’t know how anyone fits a water bottle into the side pockets.

Great, Except For One Major Thing...

For the most part I really like what Yeti has done with Mystery Ranch's 3-zip line of bags (I've used those for many years). The fabric upgrade is nice, and overall design cleaner and more polished. Let me get the one kind of bone-headed move they made that is a bit of a deal-breaker for me - The grab handle sucks and gets in the way. It's sewn so that it stands erect and supposedly easier to grab, but completely gets in the way of accessing the top lid zipper and getting anything in or out. Also, it's pretty stiff and rough if you're having to haul or lift the bag with any weight in it. Not nearly as polished as the rest of the bag design, and wish they would fix it soon. Get rid of all the stitching running through it, and maybe reposition the loop lower. Otherwise the rest of the pack is great. Nice that they have the interior zip pockets for some organization, and the exterior ones are very clean and well-done. Compression is useful for cinching down or strapping something on. The back panel and shoulder straps are pretty firm, but durable. And with these packs, the space is limited to what will zip in, so there's no expandability if needed, but that's not often a concern in these size packs. Overall pretty solid, but I'd hold off buying til they improve the grab handle.

Best Backpack I've Ever Done Owned

I was curious whether the 22L EDC Backpack would really live up to what I’ve come to expect from YETI. Turns out, it’s the best backpack I’ve ever owned. The thick bottom and stiff back panel let it stand up on its own, and the Y zipper design is the real standout. It makes it incredibly easy to get to things at the bottom of the bag without digging around. The interior organization is thoughtful, the zip pockets are actually useful, and the whole pack feels functional and tough as nails. The 22L is also the smallest size that still includes two separate laptop or tablet sleeves, which was a must for me and probably matters to anyone in a similar boat. Worth every penny.
