Sturdy, Pricey, Weight Rating - Maybe Too Narrow?

This is a quite expensive chair, but you do see and feel the quality. I ordered it specifically for the high weight rating - and the structure AND amazing fabric certainly seem up to it - but really weighty people, like myself, are usually wider than average weight folks. I am over 120 lbs below the max weight rating for this chair, and stand 6' 2" with my 375-odd lbs. But the 19.5 inch width prevents truly comfortable use of my investment - the arms and their supporting frame uprights simply dig into me. It's not Yeti's fault that I'm a big old dude gone to fat - but the weight rating drew me into the purchase and unfortunately it's not very usable for me at my weight, despite me being substantially lighter than that rating! It would sure be nice to have a variant that could actually seat people approaching the rating - another inch to inch and a half of width would make all the difference for me... My rating dings only Yeti failing to build a 500 lb rated chair wide enough for a big person. It's structurally first rate, but dimensionally sort of a tease for big potential owners... Caveat emptor! I would recommend this to a well-heeled friend, but warn them about the dimensions.

I was on the fence for this one. Finally got tired of my other chairs breaking over time. This one feels sturdy and very well built. It would be nice if it were a little wider, at 6’2” it’s a little narrow but not enough to return it. Super comfy and I love the carry bag. Happy with the addition to my yeti family.
