Trd Crawz Help But, With A Flaw.

I have used these with the ZMan Crawz with some positive results. The idea is two fold, one to make the bait weedless and the other to present a crawfish bait that is buoyant in a more realistic way. The Crawz are buoyant and the bait stands up all the time. To solve this unrealistic pose, ZMan added a tiny ballst weight to make the bait only stand at a 45 degree angle. That's an improvement as is the fact the bait is weedless due to an EWG hook. BUT, my biggest problem with this EWG Jig Head is, when you Texas rig it. The hook point, already not that large, DOES NOT WANT TO STAY IN THE ELAZTECH BAIT! And if you bury the hook too deeply into the Elaztech bait, you miss a lot of bites and hookups. Great idea, poor execution.

The pics here are not correct. This is the pro bulletz in the pics. The finesse bullets do not have the big bulbous weight. But, these are great jig heads for fishing in weedy areas. I put a Z-Man Trick Shots Bad Shad on a 1/6 ounce size, and was slaying the bass at a local pond. Hooks are sharp, and the rig was able to get through most weeds easily. Only got hung up in some really heavy grasses a couple of times, but I was able to get out without losing, or even damaging, any tackle.

Works Great!

I've been using this with a small TRD and it's been nothing but solid. Set up is weedless which is great. I caught a 21" bass the other day with it. Hooked on solid. Absolutely no complaints.
