Good Starter Rod

I bought this as a starter rod for pond fishing with a 9 year old and has worked great!

Fell Apart Quickly

Perfect size for my daughter, but fell apart the first day at the lake. First the lower housing popped off (half a dozen times, it's not threaded, it's snap-on), and then the line release button fell off. I'll need to find something else that will withstand at least one full summer of use.

Rod Weak And Reel Falls Apart

Bought 2. First use, the nut on reel fell off and came apart. Second use, tip 6 inches broke. After about 5 more uses, mid rod broke, just getting it out of car. I'm so sad.

Great For Lightweight Tackle!

I needed something for lightweight tackle. The Zebco Micro 33 combo fits the bill! Combo handles tackle from 1/32 to 1/4 ounce lures. Casts and retrieves easily. Comes spooled with 4# test mono. I super-tuned the reel, replacing 2 plastic bushings with shielded stainless steel bearings and put 8# braid on it. Caught a 1/2# bass on my 8th cast!

i purchased the 33 micro reel and it's a single bearing reel , you can buy the fin commander zebco 33 micro rod n reel combo at wal mart for same price but the fin commander zebco 33 micro is a two bearing system reel and a lot smoother for the same price

Great Rod Mediocre Reel!

I bought this combo just for the rod! Works perfect for a Baitcast Finesse System (BFS) I matched the rod with a BFS/ Ultralight baitcasting reel and can cast 1/16-1/8 oz lures Perfect for catching panfish, especially Crappie!

Terrible Terrible Terrible Real. Will Never Buy One Again

junk....the real messed up, wont hardly cast, its like the springs inside are too weak. Will never buy another one

Poor Quality Reel. Not Made To Last More Than A Month

The reels are generally low quality and either get stuck or tangled or don’t work well. I’ve bought several of the reels because I like the rods, but the microcast reel breaks within a week or two every time. Frustrating!

Not A Good Product

Broke after two casts. Reel is not very well made it seems. I returned the product and will not be purchasing another.

Inexpensive

I bought this less than a month ago for my granddaughter. We haven’t used it yet. It’s a bit less quality than I expected. I have another ultralight rod and quality is better. I may have paid more for it too?

Failed On The Second Cast

Bought this rod for my son’s birthday. It’s the perfect size and lightweight for trout. After the second cast, button broke and would not cast anymore. Very disappointed. Returned it for another type.
