Learn More About Callaway MD4 "Mack Daddy" Wedges
A New Standard For Wedge Performance
Are you looking for more precision in your short game? New wedges may be the solution. If you’re ready to upgrade, consider the Callaway MD4 family of wedges—the latest evolution of the award-winning Mack Daddy line. The MD4 features Callaway’s new Groove-In-Groove Technology, which promotes the ideal amount of spin from any short-range distance. The lower-lofted wedges (52 degrees and below) feature a 20D groove for consistent spin on fuller shots from the fairway, while the higher-lofted wedges (54 degrees and above) come with an aggressive 5D groove for maximum control out of greenside rough and sand.
Also brand new and unique to Callaway is the milled Micro-Positive texture located between each of the main grooves. These raised micro-ridges extend the length of the hitting area, with micro-grooves in between to help grab the ball’s cover and increase spin significantly on a variety of shots—especially shots near the green. This combination of grooves plus micro-grooves provides 84 different contact points. Each wedge also has an extra Nip-It groove near the leading edge to provide even more control.
Callaway has once again collaborated with industry legend Roger Cleveland and applied input from Tour players for the design of the Mack Daddy 4, setting a new standard for wedge performance.
With four sole grinds and 21 loft-bounce combinations available, MD4 wedges can be customized to fit any swing.
