The 2025 P790 debuts an all new ultra high strength, high speed forged face material (4340M) that is 20% stronger than previous generations. 4340M’s increased strength unlocks a thinner face and faster ball speeds while simultaneously increasing the sweet spot size by up to 24%.
INCREASED DISTANCE WITH IMPROVED GAPPING
A faster 4340M face, individual head optimization, and FLTD CG™ for precise center of gravity (CG) positioning generates increased carry distances with optimal launch and spin windows for betting gapping through the set.
FLTD CG
New for 2025, an even lower CG in the long irons enhances launch and playability, while a higher CG is designed to improve spin rates and control in the scoring clubs. FLTD CG designs strategically position the center of gravity lowest in the long irons and progressively shifts higher for optimal launch and spin windows throughout the set.

Best Irons In The Game
The best decision I’ve made was going from the p770s to the p790s. They are absolutely forgiving and I can still work the ball without any problems. Not hitting the sweet spot on the p770 will result in 30 yards less, but when it came to a miss hit on the p790 I only lost 10 yards. Don’t forget the 2025 p790 is stunning.

What I Expected
Bought the Iron set 5-9 Titleist are my wedges, but yeah, these things have serious fire-power. I had the lofts weakened by 2 degrees and put a aerotech graphite shaft on it and got heavier standard size grips to make swing weight same it would be for steel. (Broke wrist in high school sometimes in cold it can get sore), I "upgraded" from the 2023 t-150s nothing was wrong with titlist clubs but I was losing so much distance on bad days that I'd much rather be pin high and left or right than being short and left and right on bad hits. I only played a round with them so far but I don't see myself switching anytime soon. They aren't really game improvement irons but you definitely lose some spin going from 150's to 790s but still not enough to see any strokes lost
