Replacing an older TNF Goretex hard shell that held up for a very long time until the zippers failed. First impressions is that the number of pockets and their positioning is exactly the type of thing you did n't know you needed until you have it. Feels light and offers good maneuverability. Just roomy enough that layering with mid layer does n't feel bulky and stuffed. Although the armpit area is a bit snug, I have a Denali fleece so maybe the newer FutureFleece models will fit better. I have high hopes this jacket will hold up for years snowboarding here on our icy slopes. I 'm already liking the tech designed into this jacket.

This jacket has ended all desire to purchase anything else. Great quality and build. It ’s kept me warm and dry on chilly pow days and the vents keep me cool on the sunnier days. The oversized hood goes over my helmet and keeps me very cozy. Easily the best jacket I ’ ve invested in. It is a little big but that does allow me to layer comfortably while still maintaining mobility. I ’ d prefer this over a tighter fit and baggy is steezier anyway. If anything, I would prefer zippered internal pockets but that ’s just me being nit picky.

[ I 'm quite impressed with this jacket so far. It does fit a smidge big for a large but I like that because I can wear a nice heavy sweatshirt under it and still have room to be active. Zippers seem to be great quality and it seems like a lot of thought went into it when making it. It was about 15 degrees f yesterday and I was standing on a frozen lake for about 8 hours. I bought this jacket to wear for skiing but have been wearing it at other times also. It is warm and I love the fur hood. I do wish that there were thumb holes in the inner sleeves and maybe another pocket inside the jacket on the other side( there is one on the left side) to stick tissues, money, etc. but it's a great jacket and very comfy. I bought a size up so I can layer underneath.

[ Works great for hikes and daily cold wear. I like the vents on side of jacket if you get too warm. It does fit slightly small, so I would size up one size from what your use to. It ’s a warm jacket! If you layer it with a hoodie or thermal, could be worn in multiple environments and temperatures. The zipper and pockets are great. Lots of storage for items. I had it unzipped and open and in 50F degree weather, and layered up and hood on for 15F degrees. Very versatile and the material is great. It definitely is water proof. Had a rain storm pour on me while hiking and I stayed completely dry.
