5 Live 2 Fish
Abu Garcia has released two of these “ budget ” combos in recent years, bearing the same name but the combos are much different. This current model sports a digital camo look, with a sleek flat black reel and solid rod. If you ’ re a fan of their Vengeance combo, this one will be a favorite as it ’s the same reel design reskinned for the Jordan Lee branding. It ’s not as low profile as the original Joran Lee combo was but it ’s still a solid workhorse for the money.

5 JBSme
This is my second Okuma SST spinning rod for steelhead fishing. I use the 10' 6 '' SST Float Drift because it is well made, light, fast tip, and costs a third of the more expensive rods. I am not giving up anything on capability with this rod and it is priced right for me. I fish an Okuma Trios spinning reel for steelhead. I use 30 lb. braid for the main line. I use this rod for bobber doggin', float fishing, and drift fishing. Great quality at a great price that does n't break my bank!

5 Puget Sound Angler Man
This is the Medium Heavy Medium Fast 8' 6 '' carbon handle version. FYI, the website misspelled it as `` Mag '' Heavy when it should be `` Med '' heavy. The SST MH, MF 8' 6 '' is a great do- it- all rod length power and action for Pacific Northwest fishing from trout to large king salmon. I use mine mostly for bass and Coho+ King salmon which can get over 25lbs. I paired mine with a 4000 series reel which is about ideal reel size for this rod. The rod has more of a fast action than medium fast by other company's standards. It also has a decent backbone near the handle area for when I need to clamp down the drag and horse a giant fish away from snags or to yank them up onto the shore. I sort of like the feel of cork grips over these carbon ones, but the carbon ones clean up way easier, and if I really wanted to, I could put cork handle bar tape on the carbon grips, especially to make the handle warmer in freezing weather.

5 NicZz
I bought this rod because I had 2 more and wanted to have 1 for each member of the family. We used them for salmon fishing and the quality is exceptional for a$ 100 rod. I paired them with Penn 4000 reels and they work like a dream. More than half of all my fishing rods are Okuma. I will buy another Okuma if I need one.

  • What maintenance is required for graphite fishing rods to ensure longevity?

Frequently Asked Questions For 24 Ton Graphite Fishing Rods

Graphite fishing rods are known for their lightweight and sensitive construction, which allows anglers to feel even the slightest bites. They offer excellent responsiveness and can provide enhanced casting distance. Additionally, graphite rods are often more durable than other materials, making them a popular choice for various fishing techniques.

Graphite fishing rods are versatile and can be used for a wide range of fishing styles, including freshwater and saltwater fishing. They are particularly effective for techniques that require sensitivity, such as jigging and finesse fishing. Anglers often choose graphite rods for applications that demand precision and quick responsiveness.

The weight of a 24 ton graphite fishing rod contributes to its overall sensitivity and ease of handling. A lighter rod allows for longer casting distances and reduces fatigue during extended fishing sessions. The balance between weight and strength is crucial, as it ensures that the rod can handle larger fish while still providing a comfortable fishing experience.

When selecting the length of a graphite fishing rod, consider the type of fishing you will be doing and the environment. Longer rods can provide greater casting distance and leverage, while shorter rods offer more control and accuracy. Additionally, the rod length can affect the type of lures or baits you can effectively use.

Yes, graphite fishing rods come in various actions, including fast, medium, and slow. The action of a rod determines how it bends and responds when pressure is applied. Fast action rods bend near the tip and are ideal for quick hook sets, while slow action rods bend throughout the length, providing a more forgiving feel, which can be beneficial for lighter bites.

To maintain the longevity of graphite fishing rods, it is important to keep them clean and free from dirt and salt residue after each use. Regularly check for any signs of damage, such as cracks or guide wear, and store the rods in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. Proper care will help preserve their performance and extend their lifespan.
