I never liked Birkenstocks that much until I saw this platform design. When I tried them on in white. I found them to look so cute on and very comfortable. The sole was a little stiff for me at first but they softened after a couple wears. I typically wear a size 6 but I tried on size 5 as well. I was more comfortable with the 6. If in between sizes, sizing down is probably best.

Higher platform a little different getting used to than the regular Birkenstock sandals. Comfortable enough after wearing the few times that I 've worn them. Do n't think that I would wear to walk a long distance though. Regular flat ones are better suited for that! I usually wear a 7 in shoes/sneakers etc but in Birkenstock/Papillio I always wear a 37/6- 6. 5 which is what I purchased. Overall happy with purchase.
