I ordered these in a medium and a small due to being unsure of what size. I can honestly fit both. I ’ m 140 pounds, athletic build, 5 ’ 4 ”- 5 ’ 5 ” tall. The smalls for more like a size 4- 6, tighter athletic look. Medium size fits with a lot looser fit, especially in the thigh& waste area( slide right up with no stretching needed in the waste). The medium would be for a person maybe size 6- 8. If I ’ m going for a loose flowy look or if you have thicker legs/thighs, I would say medium. I prefer the more fitted athletic look so smalls are more comfortable feeling for a more athletic outfit look. The small has to stretch in the waste a little for me to put on and is tighter around my thighs than the medium. Size small or athletic look( go running in or could wear at the gym or ball field) and medium for casual look( put with a solid free fly shirt for a casual outing). If this confuses more than helps I ’ ll post photos if needed

I bought a pair of these when they first came out a couple of years ago and always saved them for my `` dress '' shorts. I always looked forward to wearing them as they are the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned. I finally decided to replace my lined Breeze shorts with the active breeze shorts because they are just so much more comfortable than the Breeze short. The extra comfort comes from the difference in the waste band. The old Breeze short had a typical stretch liner but the new active breeze short has more of smooth band where you do n't feel the waist band against the skin, you dont actually know you are wearing them.

After over 10 years of playing baseball, my high school son( catcher) will ONLY wear these cup shorts. Why? because the cup pocket is on the OUTSIDE of the short! LOVE THESE! Feels like they 're barely there and they 're not super high rise like a lot of shorts. The material is very light and breathable, LOVE IT! The only thing I would change is having a central zippered back pocket for a gel or larger gel pockets. These pockets are pretty small and my gels hang out.

These are my favorite running shorts since high school. I wish I had more pairs honestly. They ’ re light but cover great on runs. I usually lift in tights so I didn ’ t notice if they were squat proof but the best run shorts in my opinion. I do have bigger legs and chafe in the thigh area but it ’s less frequent in these shorts because of the material. I love that they brought back the shorter length too

[ These breakaway shorts are great for running. Instead of shorts or pants sticking and chafing my skin on each stride, these just float away and move with each leg. This lets me think about the run and anything else instead of having the friction from fabric on my mind. I think this lets me run more and makes runs more enjoyable because of that lessened mental load. It's very bright and yellow, which is great when I 'm running. The fabric is very thin and lightweight. It's not quite see through, but something to be mindful of. At this short length of a short, I guess it's not much of a concern for wearers. I 'm going to keep this review short so I can get back out in these shorts and start another run!
