[ I was skeptical of the idea of buying a pump for a camping pad, but it really really does make a difference-- the Big Agnes bags are high volume enough that it's no fun to blow them up

Based on other reviews, I felt that this accessory would make the use of the Big Agnes Q Core SLX Sleeping Pad easier and indeed it did! Once I got the hang of using it( quick puff of air in opening prior to rolling), I could inflate the pad in 8- 10 bags. Super easy AND it is a stuff sack for use with other items. Really smart innovation by Big Agnew.

5 FRY22333
[ I bought this for my BA sleeping bag. I found out it is not only for a pump sack, it's also a dry sack, compression sack for my down sleeping bag, water storage bag, shower bag... this is what i like BA, they are well to combine the function at single item. i love it so much.

[ Blow and roll, it can ’ t get any easier!!! Love the product!!! I used it for a short campout and I can ’ t wait to use it on my AT trip!! Very compact!!

5 TCone
[ If you do n't own this pad pump yet, do n't hesitate and make the purchase! I would dread having to blow up my `` twelve breath '' sleeping pad after long hikes and recently saw my friend using this. I was kicking myself in the rear for not knowing this existed! Its my favorite purchase this year and if you have a Big Agnes sleeping pad you need this in your life!

5 HTC1
[ So after hiking all day, my wife did n't feel up to blowing our air mats up manually. With this little gem, it takes hardly any effort. She loves it. Four or so bagfuls of air and you are done. Ca n't complain.

I bought this, to fill my air mattress, for a car camping trip, this thing is excellent, the fact you can charge it up and have it ready when needed, works for me. I brought this out, to fill my twin air mattress, everyone looked at me confused, what is that they asked, I responded you 'll see, pulled out my air mattress, they just gave me that look, I am 52 years old and it was my birthday weekend, I wanted to enjoy my sleep in comfort, this worked flawlessly, it inflated the mattress in about 2 minutes, I slept like a baby, will be using again this weekend.

Good quality and reliable air pump. I 've had one for a while, and purchased this to have a second one around. Using it to blow up inflatable furniture in my kids rooms, or let them take it to their friends. No problem with it overheating after a while like some cheap pumps that I 've had do.

Bought this for house boat trip. For space, we had to deflate and inflate beds daily. Pump worked well and fairly quickly. Happy with purchase.

5 DanG
Bought this in preparation for a hike in desert canyon country. Used it to filter 30+ liters of very dirty water without any problem at all with clogging. Purified water looked good, tasted fine, no sediment. Faint odor remained, however- the original water stank from decaying leaves, etc. My friends gave up on their conventional filters after a few liters and Steripens were useless because of turbidity.

5 chase
I have a collection of water filters including the older model MSR hyperflow filter and the new 3 ounce Sawyer, but this one ca n't help but make you smile when used. The Sawyer is a pain to fill the dirty water bag, used a Platypus bag with only slightly better results. The older Hyperflow filter is a pain to backflush and gets hard to pump, replaced the filter but the new one is even harder to pump. This new high- dollar filter leaked water out the handle- side of the pump when new, took it apart and spread the lube around better and it sealed up fine. Used it on a overnight pack and was very very happy with how little effort the pump takes and how fast it fills a bottle. It is a little bigger than the hyperflow but sooo much better. The inlet filter looks overkill and will be hard to use in a small water seep but I am sure it will work out. Overall it is so fast and easy to use it is well worth the price.

5 comtnclimber
Purifying some ice cold water in the Weminuche Wilderness! Performs flawlessly! Reminds me of camping as a child pumping water from the pump in the ground! So easy to use it's a breeze. I recommend this product A++

5 JohnnyTN
I could say it's the most advanced, easy to use portable purifier on the market, but that's old news. Yes, it is bulky and heavy for backpacking compared to filtering- only options, but it purifies(!), and freezing will not render it unusable. It is also perfect for international travel, mission trips, and home emergency kits.

5 Dean
[ I bought this for my daughter who is now in Nicaragua. With widespread contamination of wild water( lakes, rivers etc) with human feces and even tap water uncertain, I wanted the anti virus feature. I have used Sweetwater, and other brands for bacteria and cysts but the no chemical virus elimination is promising. Since I have not tested this in a clinical lab setting I ca n't promise you there are no viruses. I will say the thing pumps water like no tomorrow and the design seems sturdy and simple. While most people are using bottled water and even Coke when the local retail does n't do bottled water, my daughter is free as bird to pump her own. I will say that I have some other brand bottles besides Nalgene and they do n't work with the clean side threads on the Guardian. So you must carry at least one Nalgene standard widemouth with you.

On of those products you do n't want to buy but gives you the peace of mind while on a hike or backpacking trip where there are rattlers I have n't had to use it, but I 'm glad i had it

5 Backlash
This is definitely one of those products that you only hear about from word of mouth. A friend of mine's 8 yr old daughter was stung by a bumblebee her quick response and use of the extractor saved her daughter from hours of painful agony. I 've used it myself for a bee sting I suffered from having my arm out the car window. Thankfully I had it right there in the glove box, it sucked up the stinger giving me instant relief and 100% effectiveness. On two separate occasions I had friends stop by that were suffering from a spider bite, they knew that I had this, I 've told everybody that I know about this and even some that I did n't know. Both were okay but still suffered from the after effects of a wolf spider but to a very very much lesser degree. Hear me today and believe me tomorrow that you wish you would have got one.

I hope I never have to use this, but comforting to know I have it on outdoor treks.

Very comfortable and provided so much warmth! Took this camping in November and it kept us warm all night. Did not deflate at all. Lots of room to move around and be comfortable. Very easy to inflate/deflate. Perfect camp pad!

I 've been searching for a better camping pad since I got a shoulder injury. I roll around a lot but sleep on my side most of the time. This pad is great! The inflator bag is easy to use. It took about five refills for it to get the pad very firm. The one- way valves work great and the little deflator nub makes small adjustments easy. The whole thing is the perfect size. Plenty of room for me to sprawl but does n't take up all the room in my `` two person '' tent. Does n't leak air at all.

5 KS Girl
Purchased this pad for my husband's ATV trip, but my daughter ended up commandeering it! It's very comfortable and easy to use both for outdoor trips and indoor sleepovers!

5 brandona44
[ Not even joking in the summary. This is seriously the most comfortable air/inflatable mattress I have ever come across. It ’s labeled as a camping bed, but I have no immediate camping plans and figured it could double as a great guest bed option. I don ’ t regret claiming this at all. It features self- inflating foam, which took about 10 minutes to rise from being unpacked. They include an air bag which you blow up by blowing into it, allowing you to roll the excess air into the mattress and make it more firm. Deflating was just as easy as inflating, only requiring you to roll out the air via the deflate valve. For some reason, rolling it up was also the best experience I ’ ve come across. The mattress didn ’ t roll out of place at any point and stayed tightly in place as I held it. Truly impressed by this product, I immediately buy another if I ever needed it and I ’ d definitely recommend this to family and friends. Thank you, Influenster — great campaign!

5 busymom71717
[ I recently had the opportunity to try the Self- Inflating Camp Bed by Bertin, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! From the first time I used it, I could see that this wasn ’ t just another air mattress! I was amazed with everything about this camp bed! The design is genius and practical! It's a game- changer for anyone who enjoys camping or outdoor adventures. It is very quick and easy to set up! I had never seen a bag to inflate the mattress before, but I followed the instructions and it was truly eye- opening experience and it worked so well! The size is perfect for a tall person like me, it provides ample space for me to stretch out comfortably. I am 6ft tall so that is kind of rare for me to find! And I had no issues with feeling cramped. It even accommodated me and my dog without any problems! The extra width was a bonus, making it feel just like a real bed. So in my opinion, what sets this camp bed apart besides its superior comfort…is it also has foam! It ’s like a foam mattress and air mattress combined into one! The foam inside provides excellent support, and I had one of the best night's sleep I 've ever had outdoors! I woke up feeling refreshed and ready for another day of adventure. Lastly, the durability of this camp bed is impressive. I used it on rough terrain, and it held up perfectly without any punctures or leaks. Folding it back up is also a breeze, and it fits neatly into the included carry bag. Which is so compact and easy to carry and lug around. So, if you 're looking for a comfortable, easy- to- use, and durable camp bed, I highly recommend the Self- Inflating Camp Bed by Bertin. It's a game- changer for your outdoor experiences! Next level of camp beds!

5 juliarig
[ Very comfortable, had no issues with durability and it did come with a patch in case of any holes. The first time inflating took awhile but after that it inflated much quicker. It ’s not as thin as other mats but that is the trade off for the comfort of it.

5 Timbo
[ We recently used this product on a camping trip and it worked great! While it comes with a manual pump, I highly recommend getting a small handheld electric pump for quicker inflation. It also includes a nozzle that ’s compatible with most pumps. The pads are definitely on the larger side, which we loved. If you overinflate, there ’s a quick- release valve that lets you easily deflate the pad to your desired firmness. Such a great feature! This pad is best suited for car or tent camping, as it ’s quite large and not ideal for backpacking. We ’ ve also used it when staying over at a friend ’s house, and it worked perfectly. Highly recommend this pad if you ’ re looking for comfort and extra space!

extremely high quality and heavy duty. functions very nicely. nice flow rate. comes with a travel pouch, some in/out hoses, a sinker/sediment filter for the in hose, a filter- life gauge, and a scrub pad to clean the filter. the main assembly is a very premium device. very happy with my purchase. will be used as an emergency filter and a long term backpacking/survival filter. hoping for a long life for this device!

5 frank L
I have used this filter for the past 18 years both OCONUS and CONUS. This is by far the best, most reliable portable manual water filter there is. I have filtered from numerous sources of water in Asia/Southeast Asia and from everything in the backcountry in the America's to include cattle tanks and have not had any waterbourne illnesses while using this filter. Katadyn is the gold standard when it comes to all forms of water treatment and at this price, you can not beat it anywhere else. A little research on water treatment will help you with knowing its capabilities, its maintenance requirements and preventing cross contamination but other than that, do n't hesitate.

Frequently Asked Questions For Camping Pumps

When selecting a camping pump, consider features such as power source, portability, and inflation speed. Battery-operated pumps offer convenience for remote locations, while rechargeable options can provide flexibility. Additionally, look for pumps with multiple nozzle attachments to accommodate various inflatables.

The right size camping pump depends on the types of inflatables you plan to use it with. For larger items like air mattresses or inflatable boats, a pump with a higher airflow capacity is ideal. Smaller, portable pumps may suffice for smaller inflatables, making it important to assess your specific camping requirements.

Camping pumps are typically made from durable plastics and lightweight materials to ensure portability and resistance to wear. Some models may feature reinforced components to enhance durability, especially for outdoor use. It's important to choose a pump that can withstand various weather conditions during your camping trips.

Yes, camping pumps can be versatile tools for inflating a variety of items beyond air mattresses, such as inflatable kayaks, pool toys, and camping gear. Many pumps come with multiple nozzle attachments, allowing them to accommodate different types of inflatables. This versatility makes them a valuable addition to your camping equipment.

When choosing a camping pump, consider whether you prefer a battery-operated, rechargeable, or manual pump. Battery-operated pumps offer convenience but require power management, while rechargeable options provide flexibility without the need for disposable batteries.
