Had the Storm Break 3 years so far, and maybe a couple/few dozen uses. At half the price of the similarly featured tents from the pro competition, it's an impressive tent IMO. It's a couple pounds heavier, but that has very little effect in my application( mostly motorcycle camping). I 've had zero problems with poles, zippers, stitching, fabric, or other parts/details. I 'm relatively careful and use common sense in setup and breakdown of the tent. I use a decent ground cloth to protect the floor and avoid exposure to sharp sticks and rock etc. Also avoid over tensioning the loops and holding points when staking and setting up guylines. I 'm careful with zippers and do n't force them or zip/unzip carelessly or super fast. In my limited experience, the zippers have been excellent. The vestibule flap zippers can be a bit fussy, and I simply use a finger to `` lead '' the zipper- pull path; this prevents the overlap fabric from getting caught in the pull. I 've used it in light rain and moderately windy conditions, but not in extreme weather. It has performed and held up just fine. Having read some of the negative reviews, I do n't understand how poles can just `` break '' or bend into some strange wavy deformed condition that some have claimed- that's odd IMO, and makes me wonder if those individuals are n't revealing the entire story/truth or maybe were careless? Setup is quick and pretty simple, and is doable in the dark if you 're familiar with the process and the tent. I really like the overall design and features: roomy, vestibules, inside mesh pockets in all 4 corners, interior hanger loops, the fly- great tent in my experience!

Bought the storm break 2 years ago when a local shop was shutting down on sale. And even if I did n't get it on sale I would buy it again in a heart beat. I have probably about 130+ nights in this bad boy and it still runs as flawless as can be. Only thing I have had to do to it is patch some holes that showed up on the bottom on a couple trips where I forgot my foot print and setup location was less than ideal.( Hunting trips in the mountains in BC) probably my favourite thing about this tent, is as the name says, storm break is its ability to stand strong in the wind. I have had this bad boy set up in some less than ideal locations, in less than ideal conditions and when all the lines are out, and the wind is howling, the tent barely wiggles. I 've been beside some hunting partners and heard their tent collapse and the wind just sailed on over the north face storm break. Zippers still work as good as the day I purchased it, fly is still nice and water tight. However I will say, when you have the fly sinched down and are spending lots of hours in the tent it does condensate inside the fly, wich is normal for every tent I have ever used, but if you 're able to open up the vestibule doors for a couple hours during the day the screen on the tent itself lets a lot of air through to dry it all up before bed again. 10/10 love this tent.

I am a tree planter in interior BC and basically lived in the stormbreak 2 for 4 months. I Stayed completely dry the entire duration of the season, as well as having no issues with wind. By the end of the season there was a slight bend in one of the poles but it was still very functional. The fly made it very easy to store a large bag( hockey bag) outside which also never got wet.

I used this tent for the first time in the Smokey Mountains this summer( summer '24) and a strong thunderstorm hit us for about 16 hours. There were four other people with different tents... all had water that permeated except for my Stormbreak( I guess you could say it really did Break the Storm- sorry of the pun). The tent cover provides a good amount of cover around the tent and is supported off the tent keeping water from coming through where items may be touching the wall. Additionally, the floor of the tent comes up probably 6- 8 '' which helped keep the flowing water around my tent OUT( Most of the other tents in our group got water in them from water flowing around their tent vs the rainfall itself). Two of the other guys in our group ended up buying my tent after they saw how well it held up. I would 100% recommend this tent to anyone.

The Reluctant Camper
We have used this tent for a couple of years now and still love it. Once we got the hang of it, set up was much easier. We place a tarp underneath to protect the floor, as well as some plastic sheeting on top of the flooring. I think this will increase the life of the flooring. We 've weathered some big storms and have remained leak proof. We are able to fit 3 cots in the main area, and two slim twin sized blow up mattresses in the bed of our van, thus we can sleep 5 fairly comfortably. This was an excellent start- up tent for new campers.

Set up& tear down are simple& intuitive and take only about 20 min. if you take your time. The tent itself is very spacious and easy to connect to the vehicle. It fits our vintage station wagon very nicely. Quality of workmanship and materials appears to be a little better than average, but not rugged. After unfolding the tent the second time we did notice some marring on one of the screens, apparently from the plastic pole sockets. Be sure to use the protective bags that go over these hard plastic pieces before folding for storage. Also while folding, I reached for a corner on the screen room& got only the tarp- like edging that borders the bottom seam& it tore away at the edge a little. Again, not really the fault of the manufacturer, just another area where you need to be carful when setting up& tearing down. To sum up, it is a great product, well designed and easy to use, but its not fool proof.

The Habitude 6 tent is a fantastic piece of equipment. We initially bought the tent to fit our family of four and then quickly found out. It was going to be a family of 5 plus a dog. The tent has ample room for all people. Set up was quite easy with two people. The first night we used the tent, we had a classic Colorado thunderstorm roll through and the tent kept us dry the entire night despite the torrential rains. Highly recommend for anyone needing a solid tent with plenty of space.

I bought the Carbon Reflex 2 to start my serial section hike of the AT. It has been fantastic. It is light weight for a 2 wall tent. I have been out 22 nights last year and 10 night this year. I have been in 9 degree cold with wind and rain, and 85 degree high humidity. I have never had any condensation in the tent. Even though I hike solo I chose the 2. I like to have all my gear in the tent with me. I feel that the little extra weight is worth it. Setting up is quick and easy. I have even learned how to in the rain set up the rain fly first and then the tent without getting any water in the tent. Last year on a cold rainy morning I was in such a hurry to get packed up, I lost the short tent pole. I stayed in shelters the next two nights not missing the pole. The third night setting up I realized what I had done. I was able to cut and use a small branch as a sorry replacement. I phoned customer service, and they shipped me a new pole in just a few days. Thanks MSR! This tent is light weight, durable, and it works. If you need a tent, this is it. Only negative is that it is not free standing.

I bought this tent about 3 years ago after eyeing it or it's aluminum counterpart. I had the hubba before. I had worked for an out fitter for about 7 years when I purchased this tent so I had put much thought into it as well as been able to see a little bit of what else was out there. We did n't carry this tent and I thought it was the same configuration as the Hubba hubba- not quite. It is not entirely free standing but that's fine it's not as bad a most other non- free standing types. The side doors are amazing and the biggest plus. No climbing over each other and amazing light weight. You ca n't get a better tent weight without going to something like say... a big agnes where they have the single front door configuration which if you are tall or not flexible is not the easiest to get into. Also the side door configuration gives you twice the vestibule space. Personally I used this as a single person tent and enjoyed my extra space. It is small enough and light enough to pass as a one man shelter. I am a hair over 6' 2 '' '' and while I might have to slouch a bit; I can sit sideways in the door and get my boots on or cook under the vestibule in a storm. It is long enough that I do n't have to worry about my feet or head picking up condensation from rubbing the end of the tent. Still big enough for two. [ The Tungsten 3P tent held up in light rain and heavy wind on a backpacking trip along the west coast. Have n't tried it in heavy rain yet but so far, no condensation drips into the tent so that's a good sign. Also it packs down pretty light. Would recommend purchasing 4 additional stakes since this tent comes with 4 guy lines and no stakes for them.

I use it when I 'm camping for more than 3 nights in one area. It allows me to store all my gear that I want to keep dry inside the sleeping area. The vestibule is great for my bike and keeps my camp chairs out of the night time dew. If it rains I can sit or cook and stay dry.

[ Bought for trips with two people and a dog. It was easy to set up and overall light weight. Only thing is the stakes are pretty heavy but easily swapped with lighter ones so no big deal! The mesh has such high visibility that my dog actually tried to jump through it. The tent didn ’ t budge and she sort of flopped backwards. No damage to the tent so it ’s durable too!

[ We bought this to go car camping with our three- year- old. I have some nitpicks( see below) but all in all I 'm quite happy with it. PROS:- Very easy to set up.- Main tent body is mostly mesh; nice for ventilation and stargazing. Rain fly provides full coverage, for a little more warmth and privacy.- Included footprint is a nice addition. CONS:- Quite heavy, but this is to be expected at the price.- The bag has no handle, and it can be a little tricky to get all the pieces stuffed back in.- The included stakes are a little flimsy. I 've already bent one of them, on our first trip out.- The stake- out loops on the rainfly do n't work very well( though I plan on tying them out with line next time, which should take care of it).

I see alot of bad reviews for this tent, but I 've honestly never had any problems with it. First issue I hear alot about is that it leaks. I 've never had any leaks with this tent. I remember I ended sleeping in probably an inch of water one night, and not a single drop made it into the tent! Another issue that I heard of was that the poles were attached together. I can see why someone would find it annoying l, but I like it like that. I like the way they 're attached because I find it easier to set it up by myself. Overall, a pretty solid Tent that I would recommend!

I 'm pretty sure the people who are commenting about the lack of waterproof may be referring to the morning dew/ condensation of moisture that builds up on the inside of the tent in the early morning. As I write, it is 2024. I have had the tent since 2016. I use it as a 1- person tent. I average about 45 days a year in this tent. It is not uncommon for me to pitch it, and leave it set- up, for 14 days at a time... this long UV- exposure use is hard on tents. I have had zero problems with the tent. Never got wet, never blown away, no repairs, zippers are still 100%. It is, of course, pretty darn snug if used by two people... but, that's the nature of 2- person backpacking tents, regardless of make/model.

The seams are well sealed which is usually not the case. I set it up to seal them at it wasn ’ t necessary. I will probably be looking for this brand more often.

My 2p Marmot Tungsten has been very reliable. It kept me dry through a few very heavy downpours in the Midwest. With doors on both sides, access remains easy whether I am by myself or have a tent mate. Perfect for myself and my hiking gear. This spring I took the greatest leap of adolescence and bought my first tent independent of my family. I knew I needed something that toed the fine line between durability and portability, as I would primarily be using it for river trips and backpacking. After an extensive and frankly obsessive research process, only the Tungsten 2p met my many demands. After some agonizing, I decided to take the leap, despite never owning a Marmot tent before. I am so glad I did! My first night in this tent, my dog and I stayed warm and dry despite the inch of snow that fell on top of us. This tent vents in a way that frankly I did n't know was possible and feels relatively spacious for being just a 2 person. I would say it can comfortably fit two average sized people and two medium sized packs. I have used it now for an entire spring and summer season in the peaks of the San Juans and various river canyons of the Southwest. Never once have I awoken to a drop of condensation nor had it rattle in obnoxious winds. Its quick and easy to set up solo and can pack down incredibly small. The wide open mesh top allows for spectacular star viewing and perhaps best if all, it's a spectacular color! I could n't recommend this tent enough if you need something light and durable or just want to make a wise investment in an introductory tent. 100/10

Perfect size and easy set up! Instant tents are amazing and there is no going back to pole tents for my family. The rain fly was a great quality but may be a tad difficult to put on for one person just because of height. The ONLY gripe I have is how it is next to impossible to get the tent back in the bag, but all tents have this issue. Id recommend not even trying and putting it in a different bag or wrap it in a tarp. Otherwise it is perfect!!

This is a Great product. I had no issues in setting this up. There is tension in the bars that hold up the tent but by not over forcing the extension of these bars it went up easy. I saw posts where others bent the bar but i suspect they were overly aggressive during set up By not rushing into it my tent was up quickly. As for 6 person, if small kids the ok but i am 71 and an air bed is a must. So plenty of room for myself and wife.

Bought this tent a long time ago, about fourteen years. Has held up great for that time. Ten min. set up time with two people. Hooked this tent to the back of my truck that has a cap. Worked great as a second room. I use the truck as a bedroom. Sleeve zips off for a third door option if using the tent alone. The only problem was when it rained one time and a pool formed between the cap and the tent on the sleeve. If it was on the right car maybe this would n't happen. The other thing that should be done to make set up easier is to mark the center of each tent pole. This is to mark the apex of the tent to tie the roof ties to. You will see what I mean when you set up. Would I buy this tent again? Yes. And I have never put any kind of waterproofer or seam sealer on and never had a leak.

I used the tent for the first time this past weekend and thought it was great!! My wife even enjoyed camping and I was n't sure that was possible. I heard from reviews that people said that it was hard to set up, but me and my friend set it up for the first time in the dark and only took us 10 minutes, very simple. They even have a video that shows you how to set it up, I would advise watching it first if you are unsure. Others said that it wouldnt fit back in the bag that it comes with, but again, I had no problem with it at all. The only cons were the tent pegs that came with it. They had no point at the end and bent everytime you hammered them in. I went to REI and bought some titanium tent pegs and problem was solved. The only other con was that when using the zippers, they sometimes catch the overflap fabric. Not sure how to fix it yet, but not a big concern. The tent is big and very roomy. I 'm 6' 5 '' and could walk around the tent with no problem. I have a 2004 Toyota 4Runner and the fit was perfect. Great tent, cant wait to use it again!

Love the idea of attaching this tent to my SUV. My wife and I have spent many a nights stacking stuff form the back into the front seats to make room for us in the back. This tent arrived and we headed out to go camping, first stop Holter Lake Montana, fee for camping sights vehicles on pavement tents on grass, you can imagine that we could not drive stakes into the ground when half would have to go through pavement. Headed out of Holter to camp at the Bridge where the access road to Holter meets up with the river at wolf creek canyon. Pitched the tent, pole, stakes everything and lit the barbeque and settle down for the night. Then the wind came and tent blew away. Lesson learned point the vehicle into the wind if known or possible( keep in mind, Eastern Montana is some of the windiest area in the United States. Packed up and headed home in the middle of the night. Two days later headed out to Yogo Creek Montana, found a remote site and set up camp, some wind but it was steady and we pointed vehicle into the wind. Everything else went off without a hitch, beautiful clear creek, camp fire and tent did fine in the 10 to 12 mph wind gust. One small problem, the straps that attach to the tent and come over the top of the vehicle and attach under the hood. When the wind blows is raddles those straps and makes a noise like a semi using air brakes. I will be going to the dollar store and buying some cheap pool noodles, slicing them half way and attaching them over those straps to stop this in the future. Over all glad I bought the tent, roomy and pretty easy to set up and break down.

[ This is my second UL tent purchase and I bought because it has short poles for packing on a bike. It ’s easy to set up but I am not a huge fan of the front entry style or the T shape pole system basically the sides down by the feet or legs tend to blow in on you in the wind. Other minor gripe would be the thin material and how long it holds up. I am on my 3rd night in and getting used to it. These has thoroughly impressed me so far, we ’ ve used this tent for several years on several annual camping trips now. Our tent survived the winds of a distant tornado that passed through our town. Set up is so fast, poles are permanently placed, just extend and click into place. The top was confusing at first. Little front&# x27; porch&# x27; area is convenient, as are the pockets on the front outside wall. Stayed dry inside after rain showers- put a tarp on the ground and the tent on the tarp. When we packed up we were surprised with some water between tarp and tent- tent floor inside never got wet. The original bag expands and the tent, when folded up neatly, fit back in to the bag and the bag zipped up. A con- I wish the screen windows were bigger so more air could flow into tent. Otherwise I&# x27; m completely happy with the quality of the tent.

Not a bad tent size- wise, but it came with NO directions but for 3 very small steps( I mean, SMALL) on the outside of the tent zip bag. Overhead fly takes a while to figure out; you need to attach one of the bottom clips, then another, then drag the fly over the top and continue snapping the clipper tabs as you go until all 4 are in place at the 4 corners. I will be contacting the company this week to ask for directions on how to take it down easier, as the attached poles are difficult to fold up. This is in no way a one- minute set- up.

[ Just what I was looking for. First two times it was used got decent rain and it stayed perfectly dry. Had very strong winds that collapsed one side( while nobody was in it and I don ’ t have it tied down, just staked) and it popped right back up when the wind stopped. No damage. The “ wings ” make it a little more difficult to set up with a good tight stretch on all sides, but I do love that extra space inside.

Set up was easy, although a small hiccup with the fly. I was centering the vestibule zipper and things weren ’ t wuite lining up. I went back to the photo of the tent and once I realized that the zipper aligns with the wing, it was easy peasy. The tent is plenty roomy, and just love the wings. Whichever Marmot engineer thought of that is a genius!!! I thought it might just be a gimmick, but it ’s utilitarian and thoughtful. I also love the extra large doors which make getting your gear in a breeze. All the stitching looked great. [ So far so good. After I seam sealed it, I set this tent up in my backyard and left it up overnight during a heavy thunderstorm with lots of wind and rain. It performed like a champ. Stayed reasonably taught and dry as a bone. I have n't used this in the field yet. Will be hiking the AT at GSNP in a few weeks. Ca n't wait to use it for real.

[ For the money it ’s hard to beat this tent. If it was$ 100 more I would say go ahead and get a z packs but for the 5- 8 oz difference in weight and the$ 450 price difference I think this is hands down the better option. You can find tents even cheaper than this but the problem is that they are made from nylon instead of polyester like this one is. Nylon breaks down from UV likely quickly compared to polyester and it also stretches when wet which will leave you with a sagging tent. This tent being made from polyester eliminates both of these issues. Overall I ’ m very happy with my purchase. I ’ m sure if you are reading this you either have already watched videos on this tent or plan to soon. Definitely do before you buy but I think you ’ ll soon find out that everyone who gets it really enjoys it.

I bought this tent long before the pandemic and have taken it car camping 2- 3 times a year since. Everyone loves how these set up so fast, including me, but putting it away is a bit more work, just FYI. I have found that sort of rolling it up and leaning on it with your body weight at the end works. I do n't think I 'll ever go back to the traditional pole tent set up. Favorite part of this tent is the mesh ceiling. If the forecast is dry, you can leave the rainfly off and look at the stars. After about a dozen times camping, during a windstorm, one of the pole connections broke and we 've had to hobble together a solution, but we 've taken it camping still at least 4- 5 more times since. P. S. It's pretty waterproof, but you really need to stake it well for the rain to go where you want it to. Also, because of the slanted walls, you do n't want your air mattress touching the sides during the rain either.

[ Very nice tent and very easy to set up even with one person. Purchased sometime ago a 4 person Core tent and have been very satisfied with it as well. Have not used the new 10' x 9' tent as of yet due to current winter season. Can not really see difference in material between two tents. Advertisement states a heavier tent material for the 10'x9' model, I hope so. Again the set up is extremely easy and fast even for one person. Wanted to make sure because I often take with me on a solo fishing trip in early March and just wanted to make sure there would be no hassle in setting the tent up. Lots of ventilation ports at the base in a huge area under the rain fly for ventilation including the screens in door and sides which are ideal for the 90+ degree temp we have during the summer months. Great height for this straight wall tent more than 6 feet and center. Will add further comments after first couple of use of the new tent which I am looking forward to as the spring come around. I recommend this tent. The Core company I believes will stand by their products and not disappear overnight as so many in this line of products. Their reputation appears to be very solid.

This tent is AMAZING. I was able to put the tent up by myself. The directions were clear and attached to inside the bag. The material is thicker than the normal tents. Take down went great and everything went inside the bag, with extra room no less! For the price, I am very impressed with this tent and would definitely recommend it. I would say it sleeps about 4 people if you are using cots or blow up mattresses. 6 if you are using mats.

I purchased the Alto TR1 after having a disastrous experience with the MSR Freelite 1. The Alto provides superior shoulder and headroom, with a well placed door. Its super easy to pitch, and the little triangular space that pops out on the otherwise rectangular floor space makes the tent feel roomier, and provides space for my dog or gear. The vestibule is large and the ventilation, overall, with the fly closed, is pretty good. I bikepacked in below freezing overnight temperatures, and there was a bit of condensation at the foot of the tent, and overhead- even with the peak vents open and the cover unzipped. However, somecondensation is always expected when there is ice on the outside of the fly. 🥶 I highly recommend this tent for anyone looking to lighten their load backpacking or bikepacking. The tubular storage pack strapped down nicely on top of my handlebar dry bag. Well done, S2S!

I bought this tent almost 2 years ago, and am not mad about this purchase. Over the couple years I 've owned it, I 've used it 10- 15 times maybe more not sure. So far it has held up very well. I like how it has three different bags one for tent, fly, and poles. This allows for packing it separate in your pack, or between two packs. You also have the option to connect the pole bag to the fly and tent bag to make it on unit vs three. Also these bags also can serve a purpose inside you tent as gear holders and the pole bag as a lantern which is cool that they have more than one use. However the lantern is a joke as it's hard to snap on and comes off easily, so a good idea just needs some improvement. I found when I first bought my tent that it was hard to pack up as I was folding it up, and then it was extremely difficult to get into the bag, same with the fly. After a few times I started just stuffing in into the bag like a stuff sack, works way better and can have it all packed in minutes. Another thing I love is I was on an overnight backing trip by the coast, and during the night it started to rain and continued till mid morning. I was able to take down my tent and pack it up and fold up my footprint all under the fly. After my pack was pretty much ready to go, still under the fly where it was dry, I then took down my fly and poles packed that and hit the trail! I did get a 2 person mostly to use as a one person and have plenty of room, but have once used it with one of my friends which was pretty tight. So do n't highly recommend sleeping two unless you ’ re comfortable sleeping really close together. There is room for a backpack and some gear under each vestibule so completely doable. All and all I really like this tent it's versatile, practical, and light.

The top vents zipper closed but i have to wonder if there is still not a chance of wind blown rain entering at the top of the tent. I guess we will just have to wait and see. The zippers work very well. The tent is very roomy for a two person tent. So far my only suggestions for improvement are to make the compression straps on the bag go all the way around the bag so they are not dependent on the stitching and add a carry handle. We bought this and used it a couple of weeks ago when we went camping. It was great! It was a nice upgrade from our short two person tent. We were able to fit a two person cot in here and also stand up, have room to change, etc. It lightly rained when we were camping and it stayed dry and held up. We haven ’ t tested it out with heavy rain, so the jury ’s out on that. We can ’ t wait to go camping with this again!

I 've camped recreationally a number of times but I 've also been in a couple situations where I was homeless and had to make this tent my home and I could not have asked for a better product, i lived in this tent in the cold and the hot in nice weather and storms with 50mph gusts of wind where the side wall was on my face while I was sleeping. Received our wine colored purchase 6/4/24 and set it up in the back yard. Forecast predicted showers and thunderstorms the next couple days so wanted to put it to the test. IT PASSED with flying colors IMO. Predicted thunderstorm came through the night of 6/5 in our north Alabama county. Watched the tent sway with wind gusts of, I ’ d say, 40mph. Was a bit concerned as I was watching but it held up and stayed anchored. Now, I did use Coghlans 7 ” aluminum stakes as opposed to those provided and insert on a 30- 45 degree angle as well.

In my quest to lighten my pack I ’ ve experimented with several shelter options: lightweight freestanding one- person tent, hammock and tarp, UL tent set up w trekking poles. But I had yet to find a solution that was lightweight AND provided protection in a wide range of weather. I think I ’ ve finally found the answer. The Alto TR1Plus is semi freestanding, so one collapsible pole plus stakes give it structure and ample headroom. I love that I can set up the fly first to keep me dry as I set up the tent itself — and take down my tent under the fly( and keep it dry!) on wet mornings. Lots of configuration options provide ample ventilation, even with the thicker inner fabric of the Plus.( Which I expect will let me actually be — dare I say? — comfortable in winter weather!) I will be putting this tent through its paces in my upcoming thru- hike of the Vermont Long Trail, during this epically rainy summer. I expect it will keep me dry all night, even if I ’ m soaked all day.

[ A little over two years ago we bought this tent for car camping. When it first arrived we were impressed by how light it was. We set it up which was easy for one person and noticed how spacious this tent is! Personally I am coming from the two person dome tent land but we decided we wanted to be able to stand up to change and have a queen raised air mattress. There is so much room in this tent it ’s amazing. The fly goes to the ground so in a few severe thunderstorm we stayed dry. Wind 30 mph gusts might blow it down the back side in a headwind but if you anchor the guy lines it will withstand it. The walls are almost completely screens which could be a weakness in the design. We tent to camp into late September in northern Maine in New Hampshire and some nights get into the 30 ’s but we have heavy sleeping bags for those nights. The vestibule is so large we have played cards by sitting in two chairs and having a small table set up. Overall we are very happy with the quality and design of this tent!

And pretty darn affordable. There ’s an odd detail on the rain fly at the front vestibule. The pole sleeve creates a kind of gutter that will push water back toward the tent and seam in the fly. I have yet to test the tent in a real howler so I can ’ t say if the issue is of serious concern. Also I think the older model had clear plastic on the fly windows. This model has kind of a cheesy flap instead which is disappointing. Overall though me and the fam love the tent and look forward to many great adventures in it for years to come.

[ As first time campers, when my partner and I first saw how compact and light the package was, we were skeptical of whether it would be large enough. However after setting it up- which was super easy- it was as roomy as you need it to be. The hardest part was putting it back into the bag as neatly as it came. However if you are impatient like my partner and prefer to just stuff it in, it still works, which is great! It is a three person tent, but is a tiny bit cramped imo, for two people however, it ’s perfect with some spare space. As a two person tent I ’ d rate it 5. As a three person, only for size I ’ m rating it 4.

[ Solidly- built and functional car- camping tent. Ample space for our crew of two adults and a toddler. Easy setup. Pitches taut. Fun, retro color scheme. The guy lines can be rolled up into the attached sleeves when not in use. Included stakes are heavy duty. The front porch awning wins the day as a stow area for gear or as a covered area to hang out. Initially I wondered how the tent would breath with just the one small vent, but the rain fly stakes out nicely creating airflow( not to mention the ventilation options provided by front awning system). The tent easily fits back into the included carrying pack- no wrestling required. Cons: the front zipper is really tight and requires two hands to zip( may just be my tent, idk). No included ground sheet, which would be recommended to extend life of the tent. Overall, this is what I feel is a best- in- class considering all factors. For a reasonably priced four person tent with some thoughtful product design, you could do no wrong with the Kelty Rumpus 4. Ca n't wait for the next outing!

Tent setup was a head scratcher as I am used to the Jake's foot style. Rereading the instructions, I wish this was a Jake's foot style setup, which is much more intuitive.

Condensation was minimal, but your never going to get away from condensation in any tent, specially in the winter. Great lightweight backpacking tent. I was able to take this on a multi day 10+ miler and did n't have any issue with the weight that it added to my pack. Like most tents, 3 person more than likely means 2 person. My buddy and I both have the Ampex lightweight sleeping pad( long/wide size) and we were able to fit just two of those pads in the tent and were still comfortable. I have yet to experience any crazy rain or anything in the tent, but with the rain cover on there seems to be a solid amount of coverage. My favorite part of the tent is the base of the tent seam is actually quite high up the tent, this is great for any water that may try to get it, youd literally have to have flooding happen before anything really comes through the tent.

[ It ’s easy to use, very spacious and comfortable, the bottom lining is great and a thick sturdy mat to add your sleeping bags on. The openness or the closeness is a great option. I ’ d say it ’s a two person tent though not a three person. Two person because it leaves room for your belongings. It ’s fall right now and it does keep the wings out indefinitely. Overall great tent.

I ’ ve only set up the tent in the backyard a couple times. Camping trip is scheduled in a few weeks. I love the vestibules and the large pockets at the head. The bath tub floor is great how it come up a few inches to protect against splashing under the rainfly. I like the additional material just above the bath tub floor before the mesh. The overall construction looks great.

[ My first Big Agnes tent and I 'm pleased with it. I took it out for a 7 mile hike two night stay and two different camp sites last weekend and was happy with it, the apprecated the pound in weight I would have gained if I went with another brand I was considering. I use it for just myself 5' 10 '' and it fits me just fine with a little room at top or bottom as well as room for pack if desired. I did stand my pack up in the vestibule second night and that fit fine with enough room to get out. I use Big Agnes ultra core sleeping pad and that fits fine. Appreciate the two stuff pockets on sides and smaller pocket on top. Zipper door operated well. I like all the different stake out points and options. I ended up using one sticks on each side to raise the upper guy lines on the fly about 2ft. This really helped with air flow. I read in a review that you may need additional stakes for this tent, I bought 6 additional and found that I needed to use 5 of them to stake every guy out. I will use this tent for many many years to come.

[ This is my second Fly Creek UL2 tent. Great value for the price when discount used. Minor improvements over the old version. Same great quality. Highly recommend using a footprint to protect floor from damage. First tent used over 7 years before starting to show signs of wear.

I bought it I think three summers ago. I only camp 8- 10 nights a year, so it's held up great. It's hard to find a tent that's completely open on top, save for the mesh screen. It's lovely to leave it open and look at the sky or observe the leaves/bugs during the day and hugely helpful for ventilation. It has pretty excellent bug protection and the color is just so dang pretty. If this one falls apart, I hope I can get the exact same one!

[ I bought this tent for my first camping trip in many years, and it was great. Very easy to assemble with tons of features like pockets, door flap holders, hooks lining the top of tent for hanging lights, etc. The two air vents on the rain fly kept things breezy, even while keeping the rain out in the morning. Top notch design! Only downside I noticed so far is that the stakes provided were n't the strongest, and a couple were bent upon taking out of the ground.

[ I and my wife set this thing up after it was delivered, we didn ’ t notice any issues with the seams, zippers and so on. It surprisingly has a lot of room, we are both 5 ’ 11 ”, and we could lay in it with plenty of room left over for our dogs; 60& 50 lbs both approximately. Even at our heights, we had plenty of room to sit up, move around and simulate changing clothes and so on. It looked well made and the seams looked good, I am still going to spray them just to make sure though, but even if I didn ’ t, I doubt they would leak. I love the dark green colors, I am ex- military and like to keep a low profile if I can. If the millennial ’s and the “ Z ’s ” want the bright colors and the attention, let them have it. This wouldn ’ t be a tent for the “ uber- ultra light ” through hikers, but for day hikers, I think it would be fine. It appears to be very sturdy, which I think it would be great in snow/rain/wind. I think you get a lot for the price with this one, no complaints here and am really happy I picked it up!
