The blanket is rugged yet comfortable and very stylish. We used the product two nights in the row for a concert on the lawn. Two people lying down fit great to picnic prior to the concert, and then it held up well as we stood on it throughout the entire 3 hour concert. The second night there was even a light constant mist so we reversed it and let the rugged waterproof side protect us from the rain while the soft side kept us warm. It rolls up easily and even has a carrying strap/handle.

This is a great Rumpl blanket, but I was shocked at how much cooler the color combo was than the initial photo of the blanket. The color of this blanket is much more accurate in the lifestyle shots outdoors. I have used my Vesper 0 deg quilter for a month of camping on BC ’s Sunshine Coast and northmost Vancouver Island. It was comfortable through a wide range of sweltering +30 deg heat, raining/ foggy chill( 4 deg) and even sleeping inside my vehicle. It handled humidity from damp rainforests and condensation from sleep. It dried quickly from one inadvertent wetting. What a super quilt! I added in the Sea 2 Summit thermal silk liner for cooler damp nights and found the. Combination ideal for comfort and moisture management.

I was nervous using a quilt in cold weather, but this true 15oz quilt proved its worth. I backpacked up and over Mt. Harvard and Mt Bedford, CO in Sept. The temp in the evening was solid 32, and I was never cold. I also used the Therma Rest xtherm max 7. 3R pad. The draft collar works great, along the neck and on the sides. The quirks are that the straps are a balance between preserving overall lightweight, but comprising slightly on keeping the sides closed to drafts, I wish they would allow the sides to be pulled in more. The other quirk is that the tab to keep the top closed around your neck is also a bit weak at times.
