It's a solid piece to have on hand if you car camp, picnic, have a dog and just generally need something a bit more robust than a blanked and a lot more comfortable than a tarp. I do n't know if I would use this as a blanket like `` I 'm laying down in bed and this is my comforter '' but if you absolutely had to I guess you could.
