Bought this for the cold runs and so far it's worked great, it gives protection from the cold, while still being breathable for your sweat. I 'm usually a small and got a small. I saw some reviews saying it was too small, but I think it is supposed to be a more form fitting design and it is n't restrictive at all. Recently bought the Mountain Hardwear Summit Grid Hoody and do n't love it because it's short at the waist and the material is too lightweight yet stiff'ish.
