I wanted something stylish and warm to get around town with. These Bogs nicely fit the bill. I usually wear a hiking style boot which are functional for walking the dog, especially on trails but the Bogs look great and I was thrilled to find them. I usually wear size 5. 5 but as a bonus, the size 6 fit really well and securely by pairing a lighter sock with a medium thickness sock. I initially was drawn to the green color, but ended up purchasing them in black because they look really great on. The uppers are textured differently and looks classy. The zipper down the inside of the boot allows them to go on and off in a cinch. I am in my late 60's and love them!

Over the years the boots have gone from being roomy in the toe area to more narrow and fashion oriented. I was afraid this boot wouldn ’ t be wide enough in the toe box to accommodate my bad bunions. For reference, my foot length is 25 cm and width 10 cm, and the size I tried on was EU 39( just because the retailer sent me a wrong size; I initially ordered EU 40). The size fit me but was really snug. I then tried these same shoes in a store and found out my perfect size was EU 40, 5 if I wantes to fit a thicker sock. I have flat arches and over pronating hind feet so I was thrilled my orthotics fit in place of the company made insoles. There is arch support in the Tivoli Resort that is comparable to that in Tivoli. The higher platform and deep tread is ideal for the snowy slushy winter terrain. The insulation works perfectly even in below 10 degree weather with windy conditions. The higher top and faux help keep the ankle to calf part of lower leg protected and warm. I ’ m even comfortable in them for an 8- hour shift in retail involving going up and down ladders. Highly recommend for women with C width feet( wider than typical but not quite wide.). Bought these boots a month ago and just returned from a week in Paris and wore these everyday, all day. Average miles walked: 8. Very comfortable and warm. I have sensitive feet and was surprised the arch was supportive enough and that the heel area was narrow enough to keep heel in place. I brought my hiking shoes to wear and after three hours I took them off( heel and top of foot were hurting) and put on these boots. Enough structure to hold foot in place.

I have these in tan and black, my absolute go- to winter boot. I do not wear socks, I just step in and go, leaving the laces loose. They fit perfectly with skinny jeans, rolled up flannel lined jeans, my athleta jeggings, and there is no more comfortable boot I 've ever owned, and that list includes the Ugg Adirondack III. I do n't go trapsing through my wet backyard or deep snow in these, though I have shoveled my walkway in them( I live an hour north of NYC), but for fall or winter lunch dates, absolutely. Errands, always, and I throw them in the back of my car when I play tennis and slip into them after. I wear these around the house when it's cold like they 're slippers. They are not very structured, and do not have a ton of arch support, but they are cushiony and for me, with the dreaded bunions, no pressure points, no tightness, no stiffness, just total comfort. I found these while searching for a pair of long lasting waterproof snow proof winter boots. I have to say I ’ m very picky about boots, so when I got these, I was a little disappointed to see they didn ’ t have a side zipper, but that ’s my fault for not reading thoroughly. The description says leather and suede upper, but that ’s only the stripe, the actual majority of the boot is a soft canvas, which isn ’ t what I was looking for. I wasn ’ t a huge fan of the shape of them, as they seem to accentuate the widest point of my calf, but overall they ’ re very nice and they fit well when I tried them on. They are thick inside so they might feel tight with a thick sock, but they were immediately super warm so a thick sock doesn ’ t seem really necessary. I haven ’ t worn them in snow or water, so I can ’ t speak to that. I most likely will exchange these for a pair of Merrell tall lace Polar boots that I had wanted but were out of stock.

These boots are extremely warm even with one pair of regular old socks. I normally wear an 8 but bought a 9. They are a bit big and run wide especially in the heel area, and I probably could ’ ve gotten away with an 8. I kept them because I ’ d rather be able to wear thick socks and not have anything start to rub my feet uncomfortably after a while. Bought this Chelsea boot to wear around NYC around Christmas( and light hiking in parks) with some ice and light snowfall on ground- super flexible, water proof, my wide high arch bunion feet are happy with no break in period. Seriously worn them on planes, trains, city walking,( carefully) on icy snow park, subways etc. I wish there were more colors- a cool one pink would be awesome. Soles are removable, so there is the option to put in your own.
