So, everyone loves a good hoodie, and this might be the perfect shoulder season hoodie. It's been a beautiful spring so far here in the PNW; cold in the mornings, but still kind of chilly in the afternoon. This hoodie is perfect for this weather. It's nice and warm in the morning, but does n't seem to over heat when the sun hits it. A perfect hoodie for around the fire or those early morning inconvenient coffee bike meetups. The only low point of the hoodie is that it's sizing is a little on the smaller side. Fit's a little more like an XL than a XXL Other than that, it might be my new favorite hoodie.

I ’ m 77, my son was visiting over Christmas and had me try on his Free Fly Bamboo hoodie. I like to wear light hoodies around the house in the winter but the sleeves on all of mine are too long. Arguably my favorite Fjallraven piece out there, this hoodie is perfect for just about any situation. Performs very well as a top or mid layer. You can wear it comfortably on mild/cooler days, or it acts as a perfect mid layer for skiing or any other alpine related activities for that matter. The waxed canvas patches on the shoulders, and overall composition of the hoodie, give it a good amount of water repellency. I sized up one size, since the fabric has a decent amount of stretch to it and sits a little closer to your skin than a traditional hoodie.

Things that could make it better: Thumb Loops/thin stretchy material at the end of the sleeves, like they have with the first tracks down jacket. Maybe a loop or hole near the neck gaiter area to store sunglasses when not on your face( one of the drawbacks of all pieces with the neck gaiter style). The front chest pocket ripstop is kinda loud(?) when brushed against. Not a huge deal just an inference. Things I love: the warmth, it's surprisingly warm. Pair it with a waterproof shell and you should be good in most places. The fit( subjective), I am usually in between sizes and sized up- it fits exactly how I expect/want, I 'd say true to size. I actually like the small hood, also subjective, but this will stay on my head without a helmet for just wearing casually which is what I wear it for. Probably too small for wearing with a helmet if riding. And a couple really cool features that I never knew I needed: The adjustable cinch at the bottom of the piece allows you to taper/close the bottom towards the hips. One issue I have with 99% of every fleece I 've had is the fabric kinda `` floats out '' towards this hip area when wearing, and makes you look larger than you actually are. This is a great solution for that, so it makes fits quite a bit better with this cinch feature. Another is the pocket- ception, the secret stash pocket within the kangaroo pocket is a sneaky place to store small items. Who does n't love a good stash pocket? Love the print, something other than just one color. I 've been wearing it the last few days and want to wear it all the time, it's extremely comfortable. I imagine I will be grabbing this piece more often than most others in my closet this winter. Very happy with this purchase.

[ This is the classy, more elegant and put together version of a pullover fleece hoodie. The fit is definitely oversized and roomy on both my 10 year old and on me, and the feel is honestly dreamy. The fabric is soft but not fuzzy on the inside( so no lint left behind when you take it off!!), and has a nice weight to it. I love the monochrome black design, the clean lines, the kangaroo AND zipper pockets, and the lack of an obvious logo( there ’s a small swoop at the neckline, but it ’s black too so it ’s very understated). The only thing I ’ d change is the sleeve length because they are quite long on both of us, but that ’s a common issue for us as short people. [ This sweater right out the bag felt soft and thick. I loved that it had 2 kinds of pockets. The kangaroo where you slip your hands through the side and a top zipper pocket. The fit was a little bigger than I expected but my child will only be able to grow into it. I loved the different seam elements. On the arm and the way the kangaroo pocket is one seamless piece on the front. I also like that the the way the hoodie overlaps at the hollow of the neck giving a better fit and prevents air going down. The only thing that caught me off guard guard was that the description said it was fleece. The fleece I am used to is a soft plushy backside of a fabric that sometimes has a pile but this doesn ’ t have that. I ’ m not upset about it it ’s soft inside and out just not what I expected.
