The outside of the fabric is smooth and the inside is like a French Terry feel, not quite fleece - like but very cozy. The Nike logo is small, but noticeable. The overall look is long and slimming and I found it to be very flattering. I washed and dried the hoodie per the washing instructions and it came out every bit as soft. I did n't notice any shrinking. Overall it's a great basic wardrobe piece. I thought it looked equally cute with leggings and joggers or with jeans. Probably the only thing I 'd change is the size of the pockets, I usually like to put my phone in my jacket pocket and this one was a little small for that.
