I had originally purchased the Joy Peak jacket in large but found it too tight on my arms. I am happy that I stuck it out and found this style as the fit works for me!!

[ This is the second time I ’ ve ordered this coat. I had the last one for five years and love it. It is thin, so I can move easily, but also very warm. As a teacher, it is imperative to have a coat that works in various weather conditions. I am so glad I was able to find it again. The old one is still in wearable condition, just worn after 4 years of use. I hope Columbia keeps this coat around for a long time!

I was scrambling last minute to find a coat for our November trip to Grand Canyon, Zion, and Moab with lows at night in the 12- 27' F range and but also keep my not too warm during hikes between 30- 50' F. This coat was great. I had strategic layers including the Tri Thermal Threads Tunic from Prana 2020 at night. I hate being cold, and was pleased at the performance of this jacket. I even regretted not wearing it one morning on one hike. Back home in Indiana, I 'll keep wearing this until it feels more wintery. It is lightweight, truly stretchy, and breaks the wind.

I love Carhartt's Flannel Shirt Jackets. I go down a size in these, and they fit fine. I like these so much that I have three different colors of them, just for wardrobe choices. The new oatmeal color is different from last year's, but I 'm pretty sure they used the same picture. My brother wears his all the time during the colder months.
