I bought these for standing out in the cold to watch soccer matches. so comfortable and warm

5 DaveD
[ The cold snap gloves are slightly snug but break in to ultimately fit. They are much warmer than my economy ski gloves for walking my Labrador retriever. The gauntlet style is a huge plus to keep snow, rain and cold drafts out. I highly recommend these gloves and would purchase again.

5 thomass
Great gloves keeping my hands warm everything I wear from Carhartt lives up the what it's for

5 pierreb
Very warm on cold windy days. Not meant for heavy industrial work( materials/stitch will not withstand harsh wear/abrasion/cuts) but very good for outdoor shoveling and trail walking for hours during winters. Size up, more comfortable and breathable( avoid sweating) during extreme cold.

5 Board gloves
I 've used them twice now in some brutal conditions; they 've held up great and kept the digits toasty.

I like the quality of the product. I work outside a lot and the gloves keep my hands comfortably warm.

5
I bought these for my son who is a window installer in cold MN. He texted me today telling me these gloves were amazing!

5 Jason
I have the black pair and have used them twice. I 'm a truck driver that pulls tankers and I have to unload the tanker myself so that means pulling hoses and standing outside with the truck trailer for 2 to 4 hours. So far the coldest it's been but I 've unloaded it's about 13 ° and they have done really well so far. The thumb and index finger probably get the warmest, but overall the whole hand is pretty warm. It's very important. I think to turn them on in the truck first and let him get warm then go outside with them and they maintain very well. So far as winter comes it will get colder especially in the northern Nevada and we will see how that goes.

5 Tonya
These are great heated gloves. Would definitely buy again.

Lightweight gloves that still keep your hands warm without all of the bulk.

5 Zachary D
I have the intermediate weight OR sensor gloves used mountaineering in the Alps and really liked them. I was hoping these had allowed for better dexterity and they did. I ’ ve used this for everyday wear, rucking, hunting and some mountaineering in Maine. The coldest I ’ ve worn these were at around 10°F with the windchills around - 2°F. I was active during my wear and had no issues. I find these stay try better than the intermediate OR glove and really think the grid interior keeps my hand dryer and warmer than the intermediate.

5 Patroller Jon
Nice liner gloves. Heavy weight. Feel like they might last for a while. They are sort of bulky to fit into other gloves, but work great as a liner in mitts and overmits. Perfect combination for me.

5 OR Employee Schuyler
I wear these as my go to glove for walking around the city in the winter. I keep a pair in all of my jackets and I also use them for running on colder days.

5 Daryl
These gloves are exactly what I was looking for. Warm and not bulky. Not sure about the touchpad usefulness, I have n't had much luck with that feature.

Love them. Best gloves ever. Keep your hands warm

5 JW
Nice gloves, durable, warm. Fit nicely, should last many seasons.

5 Brett
[ I bought these gloves at the height of winter and I have not looked back. They are extremely warm and keep your hands dry in every condition. They especially shined when it came to winter sports because any contact with the snow would previously give me wet, cold hands. There is no such thing with these with the combination of GoreTex and with the cuffs going up so high on my arm and being adjustable, wet hands and arms are a thing of the past. There are a number of handy features as well with finger holds on the outside of ring fingers make the gloves easy to remove even while gloved. The retention cuffs do their job well. I would recommend these for someone looking for a nice pair of gloves that wants to keep their hands warm and dry. They outperform everything else at their price point.

5 DerekVentures
’ m a ski patroller and avalanche instructor in the Rockies and I need my gear to be durable and allow me to do my job appropriately by keeping me warm and mobile. Pros The elastic leash is comfortable and low - profile and allows easy removal of gloves without dropping them in the snow. The leather is durable and stands up to skiing abuse The gloves are remarkably warm - usually I change over to mittens earlier than most, but these gloves are great due to the insulation and fusing The powder skirt is quite large and cinch - able which makes it amazing at keeping any snow from getting into the gloves, even when messing around in an avalanche pit. Cons The gloves fit a bit small even after ordering by the size guide - this can easily be mitigated by ordering up a size

5 Daniel P
Bought for my wife. She loves them. Used several time in 20 degree weather, very warm and cozy. Touchscreen utility is a huge plus as well.

5 Jay
I love these gloves, they are so warm! I use them on their own hiking while splitboarding and as a liner for really cold days in the resort. The Small size fit my small hands very well... I have borderline kid size hands and they still fit me pretty well. I was able to use my phone with the gloves on my hands. Highly recommended if you want warm hands!

5 Sun and Snow
This gloves are awesome for all things outdoors. They fit snuggly and keep my hands warm so I can do all things fun in the snow.

5 L
I was expecting those gloves to be good, but they absolutely exceeded my expectations. The first time I wore them, I was outside for six hours in steady rain and near - freezing temperatures. My hands were the driest part of me. Not that these are waterproof - they aren't - but the grid fleece on the backs of the hands wicks and breathes so well that my body heat dried the gloves faster than they could get wet. My hands stayed warm and dry, and the fingers were still dextrous enough that I could work outside. Love these and will be buying more, plus anything else made of Vigor Plus fleece that I can get my hands on. Big improvement in fit over the previous year's model as well.

Purchased these for my upcoming expedition to Everest and ca n't wait to put these gloves to the ultimate test. Love these gloves! Quality build, warm and comfortable. As someone with a large amount of abduction with my thumb, I often find that I quickly wear gloves out between the index finger and thumb. I previously owned golding rocker chairs and they are showing their age. I have seen the exact chairs at a few different place we shop. I decided to go back to Dicks for the chairs because in my opinion they have a better selection than most. Dick ’s had numerous styles and colors to pick from. Plus of course alot of the Texans merchandise was on sell do I had to indulge myself.

5 Mom of 2 from MA
Bought for husband when outside particularly when using the snow blower. Has worn them outside but it hasn ’ t been insanely cold yet, only in the mid 20s. So not really tested in a true New England snow storm. So far so good.

I needed a pair of gloves for the sub zero weather we have been having here in Illinois. 5 Steve R.
I have patrolled with these gloves and they last, work great on the coldest day but not too warm on a spring day, look great, and are soft and very easy to grab things with.

5 Dan D.
The Patrol gloves feel like a toned down version of the Guide gloves that I 've used extensively. The biggest difference is the shorter gauntlet and the insulation only covering the palm, where the insulated inner runs down over the wrist into the gauntlet on the Guides. Because of those differences the mobility is a bit better with the Patrol, they 're a less bulky/more packable and are n't quite as warm as the Guides.

5 Brian J.
These are hands down( Pun intended) the warmest ski gloves I 've had the pleasure of wearing. I 've been getting by with cheaper gloves and hand warmers but when - 17F hit Alta this year, these gloves were a winner. Just wished I had purchased two weeks earlier to ski Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee, both in negative temps.

5 George W.
high quality leather! not as insulated as other BD gloves, making them perfect for a wide range of temps just below freezing

I got the gloves and was super excited. I treated them with the leather treat. They smelled really good and they were looking really nice so I took them out warm for the first day when it was really really cold and they were great amazing probably the best clothes I ’ ve ever had super durable super soft, pretty warm, and then someone stole them when I set them down for a minute😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

5 Anthony P.
I joined the ski patrol two years ago, and have skied for about 40 years now. We typically do n't spend money on nice things for work, because they get destroyed. I have had cold hands for years, and just suffered through it. I finally sprung for a pair of your Spark gloves, and I was warm on the hill yesterday. I ca n't tell you how happy I am to finally be able to keep warm on the hill. They also look good as well. I will be wearing them on patrol duty until they fall apart. Thank you again for the hook up.

5 Hamish H.
accurate size and warm. oh and stylish, thats the most important

5 John D.
I mostly use these for winter backcountry skiing. Easy to get on and off. Warm enough and lots of dexterity. Very durable.

5 MICHAEL M.
I use these gloves for projects where i need the dexterity of fingers. Like the spark mitts, these had a tight wrist area to keep the snow and cold out and warm and roomy finger area. Also like the leash strap on each glove so they hang off your wrist when you take them off.( No more losing them in the snow)

I used these this past weekend in West Virginia where the temps were getting warm enough to melt the snow during the day, but dropping at night. These gloves kept my hands warm, and also completely dry, even with really wet conditions. They were actually almost too warm for the conditions.

5 Mtthmp
A really well - made cold weather glove. Bought according to size guide. Snug fit, but are breaking in. Nice and warm.

5 Alex V
The gloves are amazing balancing the durability of leather and the performance of gortex. The gloves can be a little stiff but after a day of use they feel start to feel like a second skin. The details are really what makes this glove so great. The pull loop combined with the velcro cuff is a amazing mix that lets you put both gloves on in a matter of seconds. The gloves are plenty warm for just about anything, I 've used them down to below zero with wind chill with just a liner and my hands were as toasty as ever. I 've yet to have a issue with the palm leather wetting out. The only issue I 've had is that velco on the cuff can cause the material around it to fuzz up a little bit but it's barley notice able and is only a visual problem. Overall I 'd recommend these gloves for anyone who is looking for a great ski glove for the slopes, and beyond.

5 Samuel
While I initially thought these gloves were too small( based on the sizing model), after I broke them in they fit really well. Overall, I really like these gloves. I find my hands get colder now in the winter than they did before. I like that these gloves are water and windproof, and some insulation for warmth. I also really like the fact that they have leather to increase their ruggedness.

5 Jacob Qualls

Former frostbite victim here. Been looking for very high quality/warm/durable gloves. These are it. Luxurious outside and inside, and more/most importantly, warm. It's march and it just snowed again. And I do n't mind it.

5 Walter A.
Warm, well made, good dexterity, medium fit as expected, very satisfied with purchase.

5 Kira L.
I 've used high end gloves form other brands, and they are typically disappointing. These gloves however are fantastic, warm, tough, waterproof. They 're exactly what you 're looking for.

5 Brandon D.
I was invited to write this review for a chance to win a cool hundo. But I have absolutely no problem saying these gloves are the warmest I ’ ve ever put on. Like hot boxes! Pretty sure they are appropriate for the coldest weather New England has to offer. If youre going subzero, arctic, whose to say? But you ’ ll be fine skiing the east. I ’ ve heard that black diamond quality has taken a nose dive, but these gloves seem solidly constructed with double or triple stitching along leather seams. They are still too new to tell how they will hold up to abuse. Hoping for the best.

5 Mark B.

Finally found a pair of mittens that have a removable liner( for washing) that stays put when you put mittens on and off. Fleece liner is comfortable, not bunchy, and so warm. Cuffs are comfortable and make these extra warm. Adjustable strap makes the fit just right. I have very cold hands and these are the best mittens I 've found. Also love the tough exterior on the palm side - - seem like they will be long lasting. Hestra is my new favorite brand - - I also bought the white leather ones for cross - country skiing.

5 loggermike
I work outside throughout the winter and the hardest thing to do is keep my fingers warm when it gets 20 degrees or less. I decided to try these mittens for the times I do n't need fingers( gloves). They are excellent. I added a Hot Hands hand warmer to each mitten and they kept my fingers toasty. I could even take the mittens off, use my fingers to put some nuts on bolts, and put the mittens back on.... No problem. No more painfully cold fingers.

I love these gloves. I am a ski patroller and need a warm and functional glove. The mission gloves provide the dexterity I need to manage a taboggan, ropes, and tools. Worth every penny. Bought for skiing - keeps hands warm and dry

5 JerrySkis
Used these gloves for 1 day between 14 and 28 deg F with windgusts and snow machines on making icy and windy conditions for a much lower feels like temp. First off, the GoreTex in these gloves holds up to its reputation, the ice/snow from the snow machines stuck to everything and ev eventually would melt but my gloves on the inside didnt feel wet at all even once. Wore these without the liner and they are comfortable, but not that warm. My hands were cold but not super uncomfortably cold by lunch without the liner in. Put the liner in after going back out and it made a world of difference. My hands stayed warm the rest of the day even after the sun went down and temperature dropped significantly. After a full day of use on the slopes carrying ski poles most of the time, there is no sign of any use on these gloves and i am hopeful they keep holding up for me. They were fairly expensive at full price, but seem to be worth it so far.

5 Steve1222
Bought this a month ago have used them snowmobiling, shoveling, and snowboarding. They have kept my hands warm and dry

5 Tunesteak
I have used these for the last 3 snow shoveling events and they are great. They came with glove liners which, although not easy to get on, kept my hands warm on a day with below zero windchills. I have also used them without the liners on days that were somewhat warmer and they still kept my hands warm and dry. They are flexible enough to securely grip a shovel or a snow brush without any problem.

5 Ski224

I recently used these gloves on two different 11 - 12 hour hikes in chilly conditions. Temps were minus 12 F with wind chill at minus 20 to minus 30 F. These kept my hands warm from start to finish. Even with a good amount of hand sweat they still performed well and the gloves didn ’ t feel damp on the inside. I highly recommend these gloves.

5 Aarohi S.
From ice climbing to high - altitude expeditions, these gloves strike the perfect balance between warmth, dexterity, and durability. The removable liner is a game - changer, offering flexibility and easy drying during multi - day trips.

5 Mara S.
Haven ’ t had a chance to wear them on the mountain yet, but they are extremely thick which hopefully translates to warmth. My hands tend to be very cold, in fact my whole body probably runs colder than most, so I usually dress 10 degrees warmer than everyone else. Bought them for use with an ice axe. Dexterity was a decent for how thick the fingers are. Not planning on losing one of those! Very well made piece of clothing. Can ’ t wait to try them out.

5 MichaelTodd
I have a few different gloves from BD, OR, Hestra, and Free the Powder, these are one of my favorites for colder weather before switching to lobster mitts. Super soft and warm insulation, soft but strong goat leather palms, and gauntlet cuffs to keep the snow out when in rougher weather. Very happy with my online experience - great price, faster than expected shipping, and a great product which was exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend the Black Diamond Men's Soloist Gloves

5 Myriam S.

These mittens are like a warm hug for your hands—cozy, flexible, and surprisingly roomy without feeling like you 're wearing oven mitts. The eternal struggle with snow mittens? The super - warm ones are made for snowboarders who just need to high - five gravity, while skiers, who actually have to hold onto things, are left out in the cold. But fear not! These mittens somehow defy the laws of mitten physics by keeping your hands toasty and letting you grip your ski poles like a pro. Stop searching—you ’ ve found mitten perfection!

5 curtis J.
Finally, an XL that actually fits my big dumb paws!

5 Scott V.
I 've never had mittens before, but since my hands were getting cold in my Hestras I decided to change it up. My hands were toasty warm all day on the mountain. Easy to get in and out off, and fit well under my jacket. Would highly recommend these gloves!

I work Mountain Patrol in the San Bernardino mountains. I have used the North Face gear for a long time; it has never let me down. This is my second pair of this line, and they get the job done when you need it most.

5 Debbie
I love my new gloves. Used them in the rain and they kept my hands warm and dry. Fit is perfect too.

5 Noah
Extremely well built gloves, unlike most things you buy today you can actually feel the quality and workmanship in the glove. I 've so far used them outside on a day with - 25c and 80km/h winds and my fingers did n't get numb or lose dexterity at all. They are also very light weight for how warm they are.

5 Jean
These gloves remind me of TNF stuff from the 80's, amazing quality and thoughtful design with high end materials.

5 Gichan
These gloves keep your hand dried very well. I have n't used under several weather yet, so I am not sure about waterproof from rain& snow yet. I used these at 10~15 degrees C, and my hands held some sweat. These gloves alone would be good between - 10~10 degree C. You would need extra thermal gears under - 10C. I felt the size runs a little large as I break in. You could do half size down if you want tight fits.

Took these bad boys on their debut trip up to Nipigon to climb some ice and they are stellar belay gloves. kept fingers warm and dried out easily. Waterproofing was mint and the material held up. Ready to use these for all winter sports and not just climbing.

5 Aric P.
New gloves for the wife. She gets cold hands and so far these have been great to help with that.

5 David G.
I normally wear size XL to XXL in most glove brands. I hesitated when sizing these per the size chart as it had me at a size L. I ordered per the chart and they fit perfectly. I have n't used yet so ca n't comment on longevity but in all appearance are well made. Looking forward to skiing with them in a few weeks.

5 Daniel P.
Took these bad boys in 0f degree weather and stayed nice and toasty the whole time.

5 Joshua W.
Got these to move away from mitts for alpine ascents. I love warm mitts, but there is obviously no dexterity and these solved that problem. The only improvement they could make at this price point is including wrist cuffs so you do n't lose them. I like the brown color and the grip for rope and carabiners is great. Love my BD gear.

These gloves are almost perfect. Great grip and dexterity, plus just enough insulation on the back of the hand to take the chill off while, hiking, walking the dog, or working in cool weather. The only improvement for me would be a slightly wider opening and little less space around my thumb and the base of my hand.

5 Charles Mark J
I wanted a glove for mountain biking in the cold of spring and fall, or when you get to the top of the lift at the bike park and its 10°C colder than at the base and/or its raining or worse, snowing. These gloves have met the criteria so far.

5 Fernando
I love them. Amazing gloves for biking on cold weather. And of course, amazing for baselayer ice climbing! They fit perfectly on my hand... well design.

5 Stephanie
I was so excited when these were re - released. Great for xc skiing, and mountain biking. They are thin enough to allow dexterity for rope work. Lightweight.

5 Glenn
I bought these for biathlon as well as warmer weather ice climbing. So far I 've only used them for biathlon. Loading ammunition, swapping magazines and trigger feel are all excellent with these gloves. I 've practiced in these gloves at - 9 C and they are just warm enough. I plan on racing in these down to - 10. I have no doubt they 'll feel great once I get on the ice. A very slight con, and it could just be the shape of my hand, is that while all the fingers fit perfect I do have some extra material at the end of my thumbs.

5 sd
They are durable, warm and comfortable. They probably run a bit on the small side - I ordered a large, which is usually a bit big for my hands, but these fit perfectly - probably due to the insulation. I was working outside with them this past weekend in single digit weather and snow, and they did the job. The cuff is good for keeping warmth in and snow/moisture out. I recommend them.

5 Angie
Bought these as a gift for my son who works outside for a living. He said they were great. Water proof, kept his fingers warm, was able to grip tools easily and fit snug but not too tight.

5 SmithsWelding
I own a welding company and just purchased these gloves for wintertime material handling and am super pleased with them. We are hard on gloves and only get a week out of some pairs. use these for wildland fire. good fit, holding up very well this season. comfortable for digging, burning, and running the saw.

5 Mollie L
Very pleased with these gloves!! I had read a review previously that he used them on fire assignments and was hooked, bought them a few weeks ago and took them out to OR on a fire and they did great! But BONUS I 've also put them to the test at tree climbing this week and they 've done really well! Only gripe is that they 've stretched a little bit, to where the extra space in the fingers gets stuck in carabiners from time to time. Easy to mitigate though, and the leather holds up super well to fire, ash, dirt, sap, ropes, and all:) plus do love that extra loop on the fingers to hang them in a way on my hip that keeps misc dirt from falling in.

5 Branden G
Used for military mountaineering a few times, worked well and they fit my hand perfectly. Inside was smooth and very comfortable.

5 Sev
These are my new favorite belay gloves! I take them up on the wall when I 'm doing multipitch climbs and also to the sport crag. They are versatile and generally awesome! I did get some holes in them after some usage, so be aware the durability is an issue, but I really have n't found a glove that's both dextrous and durable. Belay gloves put up with some serious abuse, so I 'm not really sure what's reasonable to expect.

5 JC71
() I 've been looking for the perfect pair of gloves for doing rope rescue training for Search and Rescue for a while now. The Granite gloves seemed a bit tight when I first got them, but within an hour of using them, they seemed to conform to my hands like an extra layer of skin. I have enough dexterity to tie and untie knots while wearing them and they give me plenty of protection when rappelling.
