With the soft handle it takes up less space and is easier to pack. It is insulated and is a good size for its intended use. Love this French press. The first 2 times I used it, there were a few grounds in the coffee but that has stopped and I grind the coffee pretty fine. Like any French press it makes an amazing pot of coffee. Plus it keeps it hot. We got it for camping but it has made its way into the house. We will need to get another one for camping.
