But even when I follow WI5, I also prefer the Quarks. Some minor annoyances. The new thing that allows the pinky rest to fold is nice for plunging, but sometimes on route, if you bang it against ice, it may accidentally fold, and you lose the pinky rest.... I do n't really like the index finger rest, and there's no good way to get rid of it.

I love this thing. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but it works well when used properly. All the kids on my team love to use it and seem to immediately transfer the swing action developed with this directly to live pitching. A team that hits to to bottom will be hard to stop! I do question the durability of this however. It does n't have a good sturdy feel to it. Hopefully it's deceptively strong because for this price I 'd like this trainer to last a couple years until the adult model is necessary.

Picked these up to ice climb in Alaska and they were fantastic. Even as a beginner with a lot of technique to learn, the axe has great weight and maintains a good balance. I was getting great sticks on the first swing routinely. I like that the axe is rated for dry tooling to allow me to use it in mixed climbing situations. Just have to grab the right picks for it. I will say that these will probably be too heavy for any extended mountain use, but for hitting technical routes outside of town it's perfect.

The Reactor is one of the best tools I 've used on pure waterfall ice when paired with the new Natural Ice picks. The tools have a perfect swing. The adjustable handles work great when changing gloves to accommodate cooler or warmer temps. Used without hammer heads in softer ice and the addition of hammer heads for boiler plate ice was perfect for penetration. I prefer the weight with the addition of the hammer heads. The angles on the shaft and pick worked flawlessly when hooking cauliflower or pulling overhanging bulges. Just love hearing that “ thuck ” every first swing.

These tools are better than I am. I upgraded from gen. 1 Quarks, which I 've used for about 15 years. These come with a learning curve. It's hard to swing them straight at first, plus I kept hitting the handle. But with practice, they place easy and secure. They 're light and have a super comfortable grip. I 've tried the Nomics and find these to be about the same, and maybe even better for my grip. It takes longer to get pumped for sure. Definitely a worthy upgrade.

Using any impact bag requires proper technique. There are many reviews by users who repoprt `` stitchinig separated '' after a few swings. First off these bags will not hold up to a full on golf swing. Secondly, you impact the bag more with the shaft first in the CENTER area of the bag with a moderate and less than full swing impact. One of of the uses of the bag and to learn to hit the ball with proper shaft lean with a moderate version of your real swing. Hitting the bag in the bottom portion( as if you were actually trying to hit a ball) with an aggressive swing will ALWAYS cause the stitching to break. I use this bag the way it was intended to be used( impact somewhere in the Yellow area), shaft leading the club face and have no issues. It's not a golf ball!! Hitting the Yellow area with the CLUB FACE first is not only the wrong way to swing, it will eventually tear/rip the impacted area with an aggressive swing. Reviews stating the product will not hold up should be ignored because the approach which causes this to happen is flawed. Impact bags, when used properly, are a great training aid!

I got my first YO in the early 90 ’s. It was the cast head and it didn ’ t measure up to my frequent wall partner ’s Deucey A5 hammer. After I stopped new route development mid 2000 ’s I sold the YO with a bunch of other gear. After no luck trying to find an A5 I took a look at the new forged YO. This new hammer has the heft and feel that the cast version could never match. I like the longer tangs but the aggressive tapering of the handle seems excessive. Thanks for making the only true wall hammer available today.

Weather you leave it in your haul bag while free climb, or clip it to your harness to nail those pitons, this hammer if the essential gear if you adventure up a big wall. Don ’ t expect a light hammer though. This hammer has enough weight to effectively drive pitons in, and the narrow shape of the head is very useful to hammer them in narrow corners. This is an excellent all around size for most uses. Small enough for camp chores but still decent sized to get some light felling done. Certainly not an ultralight item but well worth the weight. This came hair shaving sharp with a mirror finish. Handle grain structure was tight but orientation wasn ’ t quite what I like it to be, but reasonable for a mass produced axe. Overall you just can ’ t beat this axe.

We have used this bat with my daughters hitting coach so we bought one for us to work at home. I really like this bat because there is instant feedback on the hit. There is no way to cheat at the technique. Palm up palm down is a must to hit in the zone. Teaches hands inside and in front the ball and works great with one hand drills. The squish balls work the best with this but we have been using tennis balls. No hard balls! Don ’ t worry about the under 12 over 12 sizing. They are all the same size bat “ arm and paddle ” the only difference is the grip size( length). Dicks carry ’s only size 6 and size 7. We got a 7. I would recommend it. But it is a little over priced for what it is.

[ I have not had the chance to actually use it yet but for my type of class 2- 3 climbing it should be perfect. The titanium head seems strong enough to serve as an anchor. The curved design is comfortable. I appreciate the plug in the bottom but I will need to order a thumb slide. This is my new favorite club. I went to a demo day not expecting to buy anything but could n't not buy this after hitting it. And I 'm not a huge TM driver fan over the last few years( have n't hit the new one though). Easier to hit than a driver, much better control, and goes just about as far. This is a game changer. Easy to draw as well as I have trouble drawing the new drivers. Also, I generally play upgraded shafts but the stock speeder is great. After liking this so much I decided to hit the Callaway mini driver and this blew it out.

At age 70 I do n't expect to be hitting 300 yard drives. The Paradym Star driver did give me about 15 extra yards off the tee. I 'm grateful for that. What's really great about this club is accuracy and feel. 100% satisfied.

I first set foot on a golf course in 1995 at Nevis and the fellow I was flying for rented me a set of Callaway's. Since then, I have wanted a custom set of Callaway clubs. Last year I bought a complete custom set of irons, pitching and sand wedges with a three wood. I 'm seventy and this year could only get 140 yards out of my thirty- year- old driver. The experience I had with the Callaway three wood made me think I may do better with a new driver, so I bought the Star for its light weight. I 'm now driving 170 yards but that is n't the best part. It is very easy to hit good drives with this club. I 'm not topping balls or making other miss hits like I used to with the old driver and that alone removes strokes and adds yards to my game. I have played with the new driver twice and last time out I broke 100 for the first time. I enjoy my Callaway clubs very much and the Star driver has changed my world. It's worth every penny and more.
