I do n't play hockey, I do n't know anything about sports. But I did read online that you can use a hockey puck to make a record clamp for damping extraneous vibrations on your turntable. Simply find the exact center of the puck, and drill a 9/32 '' hole as perfectly vertical as possible( a drill press would helpe here). Then twist on to spindle over your record and your good to go. Having used this product for a couple of weeks now, I can say it makes quite a difference. The only thing that could be improved is to have a mark for the center of the puck, but I ca n't imagine why they would do that. Also, I only have two turntables, so I have 10 extra clamps. Dick's was the only place in tows with pucks though, so still I feel it was a good value.

I am kind of the handy man at our volunteer fire department and I use this tape along with wire on most of our tools for better grip while at various fire and rescue calls. It's easy to apply and very durable. They do come in various colors but I prefer black.
