I play '70s senior slow pitch. I play catcher and I bought this glove for the basket. Great for picking up the duff balls that fall in front of the plate and also the pop ups around the plate. Rawlings specifically mentions girls softball and in their specs they label it as a youth glove, I do n't know why this glove fits my hand perfectly and the price tag was just right too.

Bought this for my son who plays first base for his 14U travel team. Solid construction, quality leather and lacing. Glove break in time was about a little over a week of playing a lot of catch and keeping it wrapped up with a ball in the pocket when not in use. Did not get the glove steamed. He is using this exclusively and has no problems with the fit, performance and weight of the mitt. A bit pricey but worth the money since he will be playing Colt ball and hopefully high school.

Great colors first of all. The stitching is top notch. Nice and sturdy. The extra padding inside the mitt is excellent for those strong throws. I really like the bigger web part of the mitt too. It seems to grab a hold of the ball a lot better and let's you hang on to it safely. Not much will go by you at first base that's for sure. Top quality in every area. This glove was great for my 8 year old son... playing 1st base in the lowest age division of kid pitch/ modified coach pitch baseball.-- The glove broke in easily with the `` Hot Glove '' spray from Academy. Very easy for him to use even in the first outing after breaking in. The size of the glove is perfect for this age, and can be used for a few years before he will outgrow it. Very good value.

The glove looks a little big for my 6yr old, however it breaks in so easily and that makes it a breeze for him to use. He's a big 6yr old but it still looks large. He's got very good at picks as well with it. His defense was on lock with this glove. It also can be adjusted for a smaller wrist as well. You just have to relace it to the smaller holes. This also made it easier to catch direct throws as well.

I 've only used it a couple of times. Mainly because my glove hand middle finger is broken and with the thin one layer palm it makes a mis- catch miserable!! Pretty sure I 've got it figured out though, with moving fingers around inside, which there seems to be ample room to do so. Seems to be good ole' Mizuno quality leather and stitching. My first glove is Mizuno and has lasted 8yrs with constant use coaching and playing. Only downside is I wish they would 've had it in store so I could 've tried it on. Otherwise nice soft leather, seems like it's going to break in just fine as soon as I ca n't use it constantly. Will most likely buy Mizuno again. Great price and quality!
