I am kind of stout, but very short, so I 'm not sure if getting a size small would 've been too much compression, but the fit still works. I 've never worn a shirt with a neck guard, so I had to practice putting that in the proper place. I wish the instructions were more than a small diagram. I will very likely get another one.
