They have raised edges with handles so your knuckles don ’ t drag while sliding. They also have a rope attached so if you want to pull a smaller kid around or even keep it steady while someone gets in place to slide. They even have a thin cushion in the center( the black piece pictured) to make the ride a bit more comfortable.
