I bought the UA Velociti Elite 2 after watching many reviews of the top carbon plated racing shoes. I am stoked that I did! I ordered it in a half size larger than my normal size because I have a wide foot. Perfect fit! The upper hugs the foot like a snug glove and the lock down is excellent. The midsole has a generous amount of cushioning but plenty of spring to propel you forward. I didn ’ t expect to like the outsole as much as traditional rubber. I have had zero traction issues and enjoy how quiet the foot strike is. Overall this shoe has a fantastic build quality and is very fast! I am thinking about getting a second pair.

Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

I bought 4 pairs of these SB 2 between August and September of 2024. I run trails only..... Central Ca coastal hills/ mountains.... mtb trails, fire roads, no snow or mud. My bodyweight is 155lbs. I use each pair about once a week and the shoe, particularly the midsole, is n't breaking down or falling apart. If you are running on `` semi maintained `` mostly dirt trails, if you can deal with a higher stack shoe, and your feet work with the Asics lasts, you will find these Superblast 2s to be insanely fun, light weight, pedfecto cushioning, and insanely fast! Two quick and easy mods from me: Stock laces come out and replaced with 50 '' bubble laces. I remove the out of the box fore foot stiffness..... I initially tried manually flexing the fore foot to alleviate the stiffness- and this kind of helped, but I still wanted more flexibility for climbing. I ended up strapping the forefoot back on itself and left it this way for 4 to 6 weeks. This does n't break or hurt the foam, it creates a nice flex zone under the metatarsals= zero resistance for climbing. Generally: shoe is like a Novablast 3tr on steroids. Funner, faster, and lighter than Trabucos, MetaFuji, and Fuji Lites.( I 've bought and tried most Asics trail shoes over last 6 years). Upper is sublime, hardly any overlays and I 'm stuck to the midsole no matter what- generous toe box yet slimmed mid foot and heel. Really comfy with zero foot slop. Midsole.... too good to be true... slow easy pace to full on downhills- all super comfortable and no mush. Lastly, the outsole islands give me just enough grip on dry/damp trails..... I 'd love to see a Superblast TR with Metafuji tread!!!!!! The tounge..... minimally padded, no lace bite on downhills... tounge DOES NOT MOVE AROUND, no migration. This shoe smokes 95% of all trail shoes in the 2025 market. Asics, lets see a legit TR version.

I got the Adidas sl2 but they were a bit unstable for my low arches, then I got the superblast 2. The first run was a 13 mile easy long run 8: 30pace. The shoes were super comfy. Especially when I threw down 3 miles at 6: 50 pace. That showed the true strength of the shoe. These are the most comfy running shoes I 've ever worn in my 12 years of running. I have been running in Glycerins or similar Brooks for 6 years, these are completely different and Amazing. It ’s either the extremely light weight, or the carbon plate, or the rounded toe and heel, who knows, but they are Fast. They also like a high speed to feel natural, anything faster than a 8: 00 min mile and they really start to do what they were made to do- the shoe Becomes more efficient at higher speeds.

I have arthritis in my left big toe joint, and tendonitis on the top and inside of that foot. I have been struggling to walk without increasing pain for the past 6 months, and have not been healing. I ’ ve used this shoe on grass, dirt, pavement, and track, and it performs great on all. I ’ ve used this shoe since July, so I would estimate 100- 200 miles, and there isn ’ t too much wear. The fit of the shoe is great, love the snug feel. Not crazy amount of traction, but the hole in the bottom( where the plate is) can get some mobility out of the rocker. The DNA flash is very soft in the heel, and lessens further forward, giving soft landing and fast release. This shoe can be used of really any distance in speed. Only complaint I ’ ve had is the ankle bump it has, it gave me soreness one time, but never happened again, so it shouldn ’ t be a problem.

Amazing shoe, fast and bouncy but not squishy. Relatively stable considering this is a racing shoe. I prefer them to my Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 because I recover faster after a hard workout in the Hyperion Elite 4. Elite 4 is comparably more stable than the Endorphin Pro 4. Excellent upper and ventilation. DNA Flash 2 foam does not stiffen up in the cold. I appreciate the design of the laces and how it makes it harder for them to get undone. Fit is perfect on my slightly wide feet. These shoes do n't get proper justice from some online reviewers and I do n't agree with that. I am really happy I gave them a try and they are permanently in my rotation now until I wear them down.

I 've been using the gore- Tex trail shoes with Currex high arch insoles for more than a year of consecutive daily running. I was doing more trail/gravel running til late winter& switched to the track for later runs. This is my first carbon plate Nikes and I ca n't believe how much faster& lighter they feel on my feet. Of course now I want to try the vapor/alphas as well. I have really high arches and it is like they made this shoe to fit me perfectly. I may end up putting my insoles in but I had not even needed them for my first week of runs in them. I 'm definitely going faster than I 'd even imagined. Great shoes. I 'd love to see more colorways. I actually worked in them the first night I got them and had several complements. I ’ m relatively new to road racing( having done just one half marathon this year) and this is my first carbon shoe. My warm up mile was light and breezy in this shoe and my speed work was definitely faster than normal. I struggled to run slow in these shoes for my cool down mile- your feet turnover fast in these shoes. I did have to size up a half size from a 7. 5 to 8, but super pleased after just one run. I worry that the 8mm drop is a little too high for me to use on long runs tho, but we ’ ll see.

Well. I bought 4 pairs. These are everything I was hoping for. Essentially a springy, barefoot run with great energy return. All have worn well unless I try to take them off without undoing the laces, or scrape them on concrete. I wear mine daily. I have narrow feet with exceptionally high arches. As for this model compared to the Alphafly 2 and original…they improved them tremendously. They are snug without pressure, better foam profile, and the lacing system doesn ’ t untie easily. I ’ m a 5 ’ 10 ”, 170lbs, 54 year old male with a marathon PR of 3: 15 and have been running marathons for 14 years. Ran my 20th marathon two weeks ago and nearly set a new PR! Was really skeptical at first because the soles r so plush, but running, they r very responsive. Super light and almost feel unstable standing in them. Love these Nikes! I have narrow feet with a moderate high arch and these shoes fit me like a glove. I wore them right out of the box for a trip, walked 5, 000 to 10, 000 steps daily for 2 weeks and my foot did n't hurt at all. I liked them so much that I bought another pair. Unfortunately my shoe size/color were not available in women's. It stated that the React Phantom Run Flyknit 2 was unisex so I took a chance and bought a men's size 6( I wear women's 7. 5 in this shoe). Do NOT buy it in a men's size. The arch is in a weird position for my feet. Stick to the women's sizes.

Alphafly 2 has been my only running shoe, so I ’ m sorry to see it appears to be on the way out. I hope the 3 is just as good. I love the booty fit without the need to deal with a loose tongue. Grab the loops at the top and back to slip on more easily. The laces did dig into the top of my feet, but problem solved with a Lydiard- style lacing( see photo).

Never ever had a problem with the alpha fly. I ’ ve worn them for the last 3 years or so and love them. I have a really bad knee but I honestly don ’ t suffer with it when wearing the alpha flys because of the cushion acts as a shock absorber. Love them and all the colours

4th and last pair of Pro3 ’s sadly. Love this shoe!! Pity it ’s gone out of production. Just works, outsole lasts, i( 86kg) get 600km+, great bounce, “ toe off ” and snug feel. You just need to work out the bottom lace fit/ looseness else it can rub on big toe knuckle if too tight. Top race day shoe, not much in it between this and other “ super shoes ”. This outsole just lasts longer. Onto Pro4 ’s, which look great but sadly sound bit softer, less mileage outsole and not getting amazing reviews atm from mates. C'est la vie

purchased from nike, not Dicks. But i have seen a lot of non- typical reviews that may dissuade someone from giving these shoes a chance. I have over 300 damage- free miles on these shoes and i am just now looking at getting a replacement pair. not due to damage, but just due to the zoomX foam losing its `` springiness '' which is typical for it over time. I started wearing these shoes coming from wearing nike free's for years and just wanted to give something else a try that is lightweight and without a carbon fiber plate. These shoes will not `` destroy '' your ankles if you are already adept to wearing a minimalist- style shoe. These are not true minimalist, but they are very lightweight, lighter than my minimalist shoes, and have a very low heel- toe drop. Both of these specs can compete with minimalist shoes. Coming from wearing minimalist shoes, my ankles, feet, and lower legs are strengthened to adapt to the less cushioning and stability. If you transition to these shoes straight from wearing `` traditional '' trainers, there will be an adjustment period and you may decide its not for you. That is not a knock on the shoe, but more of a characteristic of this style of shoe. I transitioned to these shoes pretty seamlessly from my Nike frees. Streakfly's are the lightest shoe Nike makes, and extremely flexible. Like wearing socks. This is what i look for in a shoe, and something to consider for anyone looking at giving these a try. It is a very fast shoe, but it will lose its responsiveness over time due to the exposed ZoomX foam. They can still be used when this happens though. I am not happy that Nike decided to add a carbon fiber plate to the new Streakfly's, although Nike did make the shoe even lighter. I uses these shoes as a daily trainer and do not want to run with a carbon fiber plate every time, this can cause injury. i am currently looking for deals on these shoes from other sellers because they are not for sale through Nike anymore and i want to pick up another pair before they are completely gone. Bottom line, if you are someone that is already used to wearing a lightweight, flexible shoe, with low drop, you should really give this shoe a try. If not, there will be a transition period before you can wear this shoe all the time. When i transitioned to minimalist, i went through several shoes of gradually decreasing weight and drop in order to let my body strengthen and acclimate.

My running journey started March of 2024. 2 years before this mt doctor suggested I take my heart fort a brisk walk. The first year it was once a week and the second year twice a week. The third year they suggested 3 times a week and that ’s when I felt that I might be able to run. The 1st 2 weeks weren ’ t pretty as I ’ d run 100 ’ and walk a 100 ’ feet for 2 miles. Then I bought a pair of the Ghost 16 ’s and never looked back. I prefer to run at the colder temperatures between 20F and- 5F. Any of the shoes in the Brooks lineup will be a great shoe. Just ask a lot of questions to make sure you get the ones that are comfortable for you. Someday hopefully I ’ ll be able to get a pair of the Elite 4 shoes and take them out for a run. Pun intended. The Hyperion Max 2 are amazing shoes. I usually run in either Hyperions{ 1st generation and 2nd) or Adrenaline GTS 24, 2 pair) for recovery runs. I have an arsenal of Brooks shoes, 12 pairs to be exact. I enjoy everything about the Brooks shoes and won ’ t run in any other shoes.

They felt fast, while avoiding significant forefoot pain that I have dealt with in the past. Historically I was not a fan of high stack, or excess foam, however these shoes have changed my mind.
