I ’ ve used just this down to 40 degrees combined with a good base layer I was perfect, I ’ ve also used this locked into my spark pro and it was great I was too warm at 27 degrees. They integrate perfectly and pack down better than anything else.

[ I used this as my sleep system for a long bike packing trip on the Katy Trail in Missouri. The packability and the warmth were perfect. I love the toe box being able to pull around my pad and the straps were perfect for keeping it in place. I did find I was most comfortable leaving the top strap off while sleeping. If you are going for ultra light and packable you will not beat this product. I would choose it every time.

Two people lying down fit great to picnic prior to the concert, and then it held up well as we stood on it throughout the entire 3 hour concert. The second night there was even a light constant mist so we reversed it and let the rugged waterproof side protect us from the rain while the soft side kept us warm. It rolls up easily and even has a carrying strap/handle.

In the past I would have a beach towel, or two, a blanket for the sand and other miscellaneous stuff. It adds up and makes getting to the beach a chore. If any sand ends up on the blanket it ’s easy to lift up and the sand slides right off.

It's a solid piece to have on hand if you car camp, picnic, have a dog and just generally need something a bit more robust than a blanked and a lot more comfortable than a tarp. I do n't know if I would use this as a blanket like `` I 'm laying down in bed and this is my comforter '' but if you absolutely had to I guess you could. Works great as a tent floor liner( helps keep the tent warmer in cold weather, and also protects the tent floor), or as a festival/beach blanket for under the sunshade. It ’s the perfect size for both and mates well to the tent. It ’s also handy to have on the bike in case we decide to stop somewhere for a meal when we ’ re out on the road.
