I bought these to replace bauer vapor x100 pants. I bought these in Medium since reviews point to these running very large. Side by side, these mediums are much larger( wide in leg area and tall above the waist) than the large bauer pants, but still fit snug around the waist and offer good protection.

However, the area between the thighs is prone to tearing, but this is a flaw in most softer goalie shorts when they are worn for a long time. I just sewed it back up with a needle and thread and they were as good as new. The best part about these shorts is the feminine- style groin protector. It is unusual to have these included, but it is worth it. That piece of plastic and foam has saved me from so many bruises in the four years I used them and I missed it in the year without. A shot to the groin is not pleasant, but this takes most of the pain away.
