Love these! Great for a day at the park, beach or even camping. I 've used them on kayak paddles overnight and they are compact and lightweight enough. I have n't used them on overnight hikes as they are still a tab heavy and bulky, but perhaps good enough for a short overnight. Assembly is quite easy once you follow the instructions and use a bit of brain power. Slip on the top loops first and one of the bottom loops, Flip the chair on to its side with the attached part on the bottom and use the ground as leverage to flex the top pole and slip the 2nd bottom piece on.

HOWEVER- though the pockets for poles were stiff initially when we first got this chair and put it together- We left it put together and used it in our house for probably 30- or so times of sitting in over a few weeks. Ta- Da- the fabric, where the poles insert, stretched some and the chair is now `` normal easy '' to put together and take apart. The fabric has held up nicely after repeated use. The chair is comfy; some choose to use with the neck roll, while others remove( for gaming, our TV is up above the fireplace, so that's when the neck roll was removed). Very lightweight, handy little storage bag- we hook the handle of the storage bag through one of the poles that go into pockets which helps us keep track if it. Even for a teen- this and a hammock is what they are camping with.

The GCI Outdoor Roadtrip Rocker is an excellent chair that sits on the fence between an `` A '' or a `` B ''. Just a couple extra credit assignments and it firmly passes with straight A's. This chair is very comfortable and does a surprisingly good job as a rocking chair. The back is tall enough to lean back and feel supported. It is wide enough be bundled up in blankets and still have room. There are two things I 'd like have changed slightly. If you are sitting up to a table, or even just forward on the chair it is a bit too relaxed. Lastly, be prepared for a fairly large item when folded. Getting all this comfort into a bag poses a big challenge. Well done GCI!

This chair feels sturdy, it has weight to it and is comfortable. Im a bigger boy at 250lbs and I feel like im not going to blow through it. Other rocker camp chairs have a whine or squeal to them. I have not had that experience with this chair. My wife and I keep them in the garage of our camper. Their folding design works great for some smaller spaces. This is for sure a chair you are not hauling far from the truck or camper. Highly recommend if you are the on the fence.

Absolutely. But after hiking all day with a heavy pack, it's heaven to sink into a comfy chair at your campsite. They set up and break down quickly and easily, and we love the feet on this chair in particular. Some of the sites we 've camped at were very sandy or muddy, and the Joey felt very stable. [ I needed traveling chairs for my sons ’ swim meets that were light, compact and easy to fold, quick drying and a shorter profile for an 8 and 10 year old. These chairs seem to fit the bill. My boys were able to fold and carry them easily( parents aren ’ t allowed close to the pool), they don ’ t take up too much room so I can fit two easily into the car, the fabric doesn ’ t seem to absorb water so I can pack them up quickly and not have to worry about air drying before packing and storing and my boys thought they were very comfortable. I am 6' 5 '' and 350 lbs, and the seat height, angle width& depth are all perfect. Rigid arm rests are sturdy plastic and shaped to allow finding several positions that are `` just right. '' Folks under 6 feet, unless very long legged should probably look elsewhere. Steel tube construction. looks and feels very substantial. Soft soil or sand locations may be a problem: the chair contacts the ground only at the 4 corners.

[ This is the most comfortable camp chair I ’ ve ever sat in! The seat and back are nicely padded for optimal comfort. The arm rests are adjustable with a cord in the back and the cup holder even have little holes in the bottom so if you spill a drink in them you don ’ t have to worry about it standing and growing mold. The back has 3 levels of recline which are easily adjusted by pulling out the pin and sliding the bar upwards. Another great bonus is that there is a storage pouch on the back of the chair which is removable by unzipping it from the chair if you need to take your belongings with you when if you decide to explore. I can not wait for my next camping trip but I foresee having to fight off the rest of my family for who gets to sit in this chair! I can ’ t stress enough how incredibly comfortable it is!

There are also straps on the back to adjust the armrest as well. I can actually lay back in comfort in this chair. There is a removable storage pouch on the back to hold items you may need. This is the prefect chair for the sideline. Seating for two people but the carry bag isn ’ t much bigger than a regular quad chair. I love not having to juggle an extra chair. If your going solo to game with kid the extra seat is a prefect place for their gear then they have a seat when they need it. It ’s also a great kid chair since they can lay down on it and they have room for the toys. The pockets on the back are a fantastic idea. Good place for sunglasses, sunscreen, or snacks. Oversized cup holders give a lot of room for the big water bottles out there or coffee thermos ’s with handles. You ’ ll find yourself grabbing this chair more often because it ’s just so much easier than hauling around two chairs and the features are great.

While my Sunset Chair also has a high position, the Cafe Chair position works better for me. The Sunset is a more comfortable leaned- back design for relaxing, but the Cafe Chair is a practical multi- purpose design for the campsite. Sturdy, easy to assemble, easy to clean, quick drying. And it's lighter when carrying on my motorcycle.

[ I bought this chair to have a collapsible chair that is at normal table height. This chair meets that and may actually be slightly too small for people with shorter legs. Despite the additional height it is quite stable, although as with all Helinox- type collapsible chairs you will need a base to support it on soft ground. The back of the the chair is not height enough to rest your head back but the back provides adequate support in an upright posture. It is fairly comfortable and the vented back panel should prevent overheating but the sides of the seat are a bit narrow so if you are on the wider/heavier side you may find that it cups tightly. It is somewhat heavier than the smaller chairs and too heavy for backpacking but I keep it in the truck and it is sufficiently compact compared to other options. Overall, it ’s the best and only choice for this style of chair at a full table height.

I bought this chair for my backyard and it is working out perfectly! The multiple recline positions are great for reading, sleeping, and watching kids in the pool. I also started taking it to my kid's soccer games and this is way better than traditional folding quad chairs. The material is super sturdy and the frame supports my 250 lbs body very nicely.
